RR it's going to be hot here as well....pushing 80........and the extra late sun time won't help....but the evening should go by quickly for me as I plan on a big celebration.........it's almost as big as Yule(winter solstice) for me......

6/21 - 4: Yes Utsuru, decided to treat myself today with grilled steak, hamburgers, sausage, corn and a side of black eyed pees seasoned with bacon.

That sounds really really good, everything but the "pees", where do you plan to get the urine?

Actually not Alaska, but I have been over the North Pole....and places north of the tree line, but there wasn't a huge celebration at that time(and I think I was too young to understand about it)...
On the other hand there is a celebration I would someday like to make it to...(where it's more for the adults)....

1. Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.

. Anyone else doing some grilling today?

Hubby is, he got a grill/smoker combo for Father's Day so he's planning on cooking something on it today.

I've been sick since the beginning of this month. First it was the flu, then a bad cough and throat issues. Well, the cough has mostly gone away but the throat is still messed up and I'm getting tired of it. I can hardly swallow or talk today. I guess I'm going to have to go to the Dr. I hate going, but I'm sick of being sick. I told hubby this morning I was thinking of going and he looked at me in surprise. I think I've been to the Dr. twice since my daughter has been born.

We have the Burning Man shindig here every year now...55,000+ free spirits ...anything and everything goes on there...I am an art lover so I WOULD go just for that..and yes..I consider body painting, piercing, music,self expression,tats... ART. Burning Man is getting pretty pricey tho these days...and many feel it's gotten too commercial for its britches. Body paint would be alot more than I've worn before..talking 'bout my younger years ...gonna need ALOT more body paint these days ..and I really don't wanna scare anybody

Well..The grill needs a clean up before I bbq that lovely chicken that's been marinating in my special mix of ketchup and coke...my beer's getting warm ....and it's time to move the chairs again as the shade keeps movin' on me Y'all have a lovely afternoon ...savin' my #6 for this eve so's I can catch up on everyone's day cheers

2. No grilling here today...bf did get a new smoker for Father's day, but we used it a few weeks ago, and he didn't feel like messing with it today...can't blame him since he's the one who'd have to do all the work. It's his day and he can be lazy if he wants!
