hi guys,
I'm new here and have had the same kanger tech subox nano and I feel like jazzing it up a bit. I was thinking about putting jewels on it but I'm not sure what kind of glue is the best and the safest to use on my vape. Also I was curious if anyone has done this, do you put some sort of top coat on it so the gems don't fall off? Thanks in advance!

That might qualify as a brand new topic. The people who come to mind who might have your issue are jewelers. May be search for supplies they use or visit a shop and ask one. When you're done post a photo.

Welcome and glad you joined. You can do just about any decorating with glue and seal coats you want on the decorative surfaces. Could even use contact paper/wraps etc. It should not effect the vape. Whatever sails your boat.

You think they might know? I just want something safe to use for my vape and for myself if the vape gets hot

@Darcside - I make jewelry as a hobby and for other people. I also do a variety of other crafts, often using Swarovski crystal flatback stones. I'd recommend E6000 and/or GS Hypo Cement for attaching "jewels" to just about anything. E6000 is less expensive and comes in a variety of different sized tubes at reasonable prices. You want the verison purposely for jewelry and "blinging" things purpose. The Hypo-Cement is more expensive, comes in much smaller tubes, and isn't as easy to work with IMO.

I'm still here on ECF... sort of. ;)

Hi there, Darcside, and another welcome to ECF!

I think you are on the right track with every comment/reply you've received here. I would not worry at all about the safety of vaping by simply applying some stones or decorations to the outside of your device. So bling away, and please take pics to show us!

I agree with gandy's suggestion to take a good look at the "girly" thread. It's not very active anymore, but you might just change that fact! There is a WHOOOOOOOOOOOLE LOTTA bling in there.

And my suggestion for a jewelry glue echos JCinFLA. E6000 is the WTG.

  • Industrial strength, general purpose adhesive that's ideal for bonding wood, fabric, leather, ceramic, glass, metal and more
  • Temperature resistant: Remains flexible, even in extreme conditions
  • Waterproof: Bond remains secure even when exposed to water, Dries white and paintable once cured
  • Non-Flammable, Washer/dryer safe and photo safe
