GLV2 Help

First off... I am not a newbie... but for some reason I had to start over with my post count:( So I can not post this in the General category :(:(

ANYWHO... I received my GLV2 today... and let me say if you guys want an awesome mod then Great Lakes Vapor is the place to get it...
I love the quality and the vapor is mega awesome.. HOWEVER I have blown 3 attys with it.. WTF?
I have been researching on this forum about HV attys and ordered 2... So my question is..
will that solve my problem? (which I think that is a duh-huh question) but why was it so easy to blow? BTW it is a 6.0v is that why?
Do I need to step down to a 5.0v? I use a 5.0 passthru and never been truely been satisfied with the amount of vapor it produced..
Give me some feedback guys.. but be gentle.. lol:2cool:

Your atty's may be 2 dry and that is why they are blowing out. I blew out my first atty at 6v and have not had a problem since keeping them super super wet. Hope ya get some better advice here! I still love my GLV also..Jay is a stand up guy with a great company!

Jay is awesome!!

I actually prefer carts on a higher voltage..dripping while on HV can burn out an atty fast since you can really suck it dry..I sometimes even drip on the bridge while I am using a cart just to be safe. These are just a few tips I got when i first got started. Everyone will have there own way of doing things though. HV mods use way more juice than a standard e-cig and dry up fast.

Oh and as for voltage..My GLV is the 3.7 but my Xhaler is 5,6 and 7 and I only use carts with that. I will drip @ 3.7 though.

Since the topic here is the GLV I'm wondering if you have the 5v version or higher at those volts do you find keeping the atty wet via carts really hard, are most people at these voltages just dripping?

I have tried carts and cartomizers both.. I think that is right or are they one in the same?
However..the cart I fill burns faster and hotter than when using a 5v Dripping also... and the vapor is super hot.. not uncomfortable hot just unusual.
the pre-filled carts I don't use but MadVapes sent me some blank ones and I didn't care for it.. couldn't get the ratio right for some reason.. I may have to revert back to that.. before my HV's come in
*shrugs*
I am now taking very shallow draws in order to preserve the last atty I have..

Jay wrote me back and said if I would send him this 6v back he would make me a 5v.. but would I be shooting myself in the foot by stepping back down? OR suck it up and re-educate myself on vaping 6v... I don't want to blow my last atty... *chews fingernails* lol

Carts are just the cartridges that have the filler that you connect with your atty. Cartomizers are atomizers and cartridges that are one unit.

AHH Hah.. hence the name cart-o-mizer... Honestly I am not blonde.. lol
Anywho... I have 2 empty ones... so I may have to go to that before long...

Yeah.. I think your right.. and it shouldn't take him very long to do that.. because most of the hard work is done..

I just emailed him back.. and plan to pack it up in the morning...
I love the GLV2..
I wonder if I need to ship everything back to him... I ordered the charger and batteries and all.
hmmm...
