I'd have to give it to the Glv's The people that make and sell the Glv's have great customer service , and are always available by phone . They even stand by their devices , if you bought them , elsewhere . Their names are Jay Fisher , and his wife's names is Sara Their phone # in Michigan , is (248)346-3205 And welcome to the ECF . And don't get me wrong , the Silver Bullet is ok too , just not the same kind of personal service . JMHO

There are a lot of Pv's out there , that will utilize different voltages , just by switching out the batteries . And your PV doesn't really have to match your wife's .Look for some that will do both 3.7 and 5 or 6 volts , best of both worlds . Check out the Classifieds here . There are lots of great deals , on some used PV's , Save some money , and Be open to different choices . But mostly , just have fun . Take a look at my signature , and you will see several multiple voltage type devices .

The silver bullet was my first ever pv. I read these forums for a few weeks before I got it and I saw where people had their Silver Bullet for long time and did all kinds of crazy stuff to them and they do not break. I have since then purchased other PVs but I still use my Silver Bullet with my 5.5ml Phat tank on it a few times a week and I have a feeling that in a few years, some of my stuff will be in the trash and the SB will be as the day I got it. Plus I saw where they have some awesome new colors added earlier this week.

I'd say it kind of depends on your wants.

Nothing against either. I'm loving vaping at around 5v. Seems to do very well. The one issue I can see with the GLV2 is you're set at 1 voltage. That's it.

With the SB, you can go 3.7, 4.8 (NiMH batt), 6 (2x3v CR123's), or heaven forbid, 7.4v (2x 3.7v cr123's).

As for durability, I think both of 'em are up to the task. You can't go wrong with either of 'em. Get one of each? And maybe you'll luck out that between you and wifey, each of you likes only one? Or then you'll have a spare/ backup. Can't have too many backups.

best rule of thumb is always have backups for your backups, thats some great advice dam im already loving this fourm haha, i didnt realize all the volts you can get outta a SB only knew about the normal batts and doing 2 rcr123a's, to make it 5v but thats awesome i was thinking trying one of each you guys make me wanna get all three hahah but doing one of each might not be a bad move, how you like that 5.5phat? i saw it i also saw the 8.5 that lookd sexy lol, and i see you sig now and dam very impressive i like. and as for me and the wifey matching that was anything that was a must only ease of haveing the same stuff is charging all the same battiers lol but honestly as long as we dont smoke any analogs i dont care what it costs ill buy it all for me and her. im freaking loving all this great advicee

I agree. The 5 volt GLV2 is probably the best fixed volt PV on the market. Many find 6 volts to be too hot. 5 volt vaping with regular attys/cartos is thought to be the sweet spot.

I love my GLVs and Silver Bullet. If you're buying two maybe one of each?

Quick reviews:
GLV: The GLVs are built like tanks and look like works of art. They have the best button in the industry by a country mile. It won't fire in your pocket. The feel of a GLV in your hand is more comfortable than any other mods I've owned or tried. The bad news is the wait is a good 3 to even 5 weeks. Their fan base is huge. If you stalk the classifieds you might get lucky. The 5v model gives a nice HV vape without wrecking your juice. Put a LR atty on the GLV2 Mini or SuperMini to simulate HV vaping and only use one battery. They're so small they hide in your hand and vape like a big mod.

Silver Bullet: built like a tank, easy button and great versatility at various voltage levels. I use the SB primarily at 6v dripping on a HV atomizer. Two stacked 3v batts last most of the day. For 3.7v vaping 18650 batteries @2900 mAh in a SB can last for several days. Seems nearly impossible to mess up a SB. If you do the folks at AltSmoke are fabulous. They have product in stock most of the time and ship fast. It's a big mod not pocket friendly. It has fired in my purse. My SB stays at home. It looks like a man's mod to me. I've seen them in pink though, LOL. It stands up without falling over.

Both: if you decide one of them isn't a fit for you you'll prolly get 80% of retail in the classys for the SB. The GLVs often sell at full retail in perfect condition.

Both outstanding mods :)

Well the nice part about the SB is that you don't need the gooseneck to use a tank.

I can't speak to the GLV because I have never owned one, so I will let those that have.
Customer service at Altsmoke is second to none, the only problem is that with a SB you will probably never need it because everything about the SB is made to last.
I've had my SB for a while now with never a problem. The reason that I chose the SB was that I was looking at all the mods out there and comparing their good reviews against their bad reviews, and I could not find a bad review of the SB.

Nothing wrong with Altsmoke or the SB but whether it's now or later, every vaper should get a 5v GLV-2.

While the resistor limits it to 5v, it's the only PV on the market (if there are others they haven't been identified) that provides a consistent 10.5 - 11 watts regardless of what resistance atty carto you use.

    In a nutshell:

    6pointprime said:
the GLV2 can use ANY atomizer without any modifications. I have tested the following atomizers:

    1.5 ohm Cisco 510 and 306
    2.0 ohm Cisco 510
    2.7 ohm Boge/Liquid Xpress carto
    3.3 ohm V4L coolcart
    1.5 ohm 801 (non-Cisco)
    1.8 ohm 901 (non-Cisco)

All of these atomizers on the GLV2 clock in between 10 and 11.5 watts. The GLV2 will adjust - without any changes or settings by the user - to produce a good voltage for the atomizer being used.

That's a pretty amazing feat and my GLVs give me a simpler and better vape than a VV.

And like Boodle pointed out, a LR atty/carto on a GLV Mini or Super Mini gives you very similar performance.

You owe it to yourself to get a GLV-2.

I would love to recommend the GLV because 5V is really the "sweet spot" for most atomizers, but I am so very very jealous of the above picture that I cannot imagine wanting anything else. I believe that is owned by Jack from VaporCast so it's probably filled with Adam's Apple making it truly the perfect "all day vape".

I'm not looking for any droids right now and mine aren't for sale...but that's the MOD I'm looking for. ;)
