OK, I bought my VG and other liquids from Wizard Labs. It's very thin and produces minimal amounts of vapor. I mixed my PG/VG 50/50 as I usually buy commercial liquids this way. 1ml of 12mg nic in PG, 4ml PG, and 5ml of VG. Man was I disappointed with the vapor. Oh, yeah I did add a few drops of flavor I got from the same company, but my issue is with the vapor production. Here's my question, I picked up some "Glycerin" from Wal-Mart in the pharmacy. It's really viscous. Is this what I want to use? Do I mix the two VG's. I'm just searching for good vapor production with my DIY concoctions. Any help is appreciated.

I'm not sure what to tell you. I mix at 60PG/40VG with all the supplies coming from WL and have great vapor production. I would suggest that you use a calculator program to arrive at the quantities of each component. From the sound of things you're mixing at a very low nicotine content, under 1mg, and a very low level of flavoring, under 5%.

You can get VG in the cake ingredients section of the super market (look at the flavourings section) or look in the pharmacy for no thrills cough mixture. Just check the bottle that it contains nothing else. It is the base ingredient for most of them. You can always thin it down with water if a bit thick (5ml to start with). It can not be sold as these items unless it is USP grade so don't worry if you don't see that on the bottle.

HMMMMM...then I should be getting better vapor. I'll try again. The glycerin I got from WM is HUMCO brand, 99.5% Pure Natural. I've since read a post on this which gave mixed (haha) reviews. I'm using syringes to do the mixing. How much agitation does it take to get the solution incorporated?

Shaking vigorously should be enough to mix things thoroughly, but if you're using tobacco flavors it might need steeping for a week or two unless you have an ultrasonic cleaner to speed that up. I still say you need to use a calculator, available free here in the DIY forum, to get things in the right percentages. You don't mention what your target nicotine level or flavor level is. While they might not effect vapor production they certainly contribute to the overall experience. Things can also vary widely based on the delivery system, catro, clearo, bottom coil, top coil, tank and so on.

Are you trying to make a 1 mg nic 50/50 juice?
