Just saw this on a friend's FB wall. He lives down island.

"To everyone out there, Key West is fine. I never lost power. We did not get flooded. We had more wind than rain. There are a few tree branches down, but that is normal. Everything is fine. Please don't let the media tell you otherwise. Much love to all friends out there!"

Well, I was wrong about the tropical storm winds here in Vero.

It was quite wet, and then out comes a tornado through the manufactured home park where I live. I had just gone to the sliders to see what the noise was when it decided to rearrange the the porch and the furniture. It was quite amazing to watch everything being picked up and thrown. I suffered very little damage compared to my neighbors. Many of the homes that were hit are totaled. Luckily, nobody was injured.

Thought for a while I was going to have to buy a pack of cigs, but the power came back on.
