Although I recommend the Bolt and Provari all of the time, I think that there are many, many other routes to go when starting out- and many, many suppliers that sell reputable merch. In the past 6 months alone, I've received orders from at least 15 different suppliers, and the majority of the stuff I ordered came as-expected, sometimes better.

In reality, over the past 4 years, the higher priced mods have not been any more or less consistent in perceived quality (kind of a measure of what you paid for a device, how well it works, and what it's made of/how well it's made) than the Chinese. I think that Chinese devices have, these days, achieved a higher value-per-dollar, compared to the expensive stuff.

That being said, you cant make a Honda civic into a Ferrari. ;)

    Wanna bet!

In other words it would be hard for them to get ripped off on a Bolt. 1)you know it works well 2)go to a few websites, find the best price 3)Buy it and puff away.

The bolt and provari are also battery mods.Buying these ego batteries and stuff is okay if thats what you like just get them as cheap as you can.do not pay for a dumb logo.

I only use big battery mods, but some people like the form and function of their ego's or their 808's, or whatever it is they happen to be using. Great that you are happy with your bolt, but do not think it doesn't have any issues either. The forum is full of posts where people have had problems with them.

Add to that they now have bolts that are made of plastic. I would rather have a built in battery than a plastic pv. Again personal choice.

You can however get something like a cheap telescope, fully mechanical that will allow use of ego threaded stuff for around the same price. With that you have the added benefit of using different sized batteries

with which one the Provari or the Bolt.If it was a Provari they carry a year waranty on all the electronics.if it was the Bolt it is a button and a battery and wire not much really there to go wrong I guess you could put the battery in upside down.I did hear the first ones had problems. But as I stated just my thoughts no need for anybody to get butthurt.

As I have already said there is a lot of people who have had issues with the bolt, many of them has to do with the way that wire runs in it.

To all you new people buy a Provari,or a Bolt. end of story if you can not afford one of those buy this http://www.smokerevolt.com/18350MiniTube make sure you get 3 batteries and a charger get you some kind of tank and a some punched cartos.Do not buy some china crap that somebody is putting there crappy logo on and marking up 200%,and remember just because they advertise on here does not mean they wont rip you off.Look at one of the adds on here its some crappy battery with a big tank on it.I mean really even being new,you know it looks dumb.

Boss, I think you're just a bit too sharp and straight for this crowd ;) I find some validity to your opinion, as well as most of the other poster's comments.

I've only been vaping for about 4 months now, but watched family members throw away about a thousand dollars (at least) on the cheap stuff. I started out with the eGo/510 900mah passthoughs and tried (and still use) all the vivi variants (nova, mini, thank, stardust, etc). After reading a *lot* on ECF, I had the cash and decided to do what so many before you have said and I've never been happier. I bought a provari and a some decent RBAs.

That said, I think everyone has a valid point: "You get what you pay for". I do agree there is some "branding" going on, and sometimes they may be a bit pricey but most are just Connoisseurs of their craft; they're not out to screw anyone out of their money. I've read time and again how one product sucks and not to buy it. I went and bought it anyway, since hearing what one individual states about one product or the other is much like people talking about different brands of wine. It may taste great to me, but the next guy may spit it out in disgust.

I'm the sort that likes to DIY, but I prefer my PV to be more like a tool, not a gadget with a bunch of features. I want it to function simply and stable. That's how I chose my PV setup. I'm still looking for "the one" RBA that works best for me, but right now I'm pleased with my AGA Hydra and Tiamat. I've heard good and bad about them and found they are both very good for me. I found them for less than 30usd and I think that's a very fair price. I've purchased RBAs in the 20usd range and although they were incredibly good vapes, they were less reliable than most of my vivis. And that's my two cent opinion folks :)

    A Provari or a Bolt??

Might I suggest reading all 888 pages of this thread. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/225727-pictures-your-setup.html There is a great big world out there to be explored. You might even find an alternative to a Provari or a Bolt!
It is suggestion for NEW people to get a good starter item and not waste a bunch of money that is all.I myself now know there is all kinds of good stuff but once again I posted this for new people because of all the crappy adds leading them into overpriced items and junk that are plain as day at the top of every ecig forum page.I now know you cant see them.but I can and here is one ECig Super Store | Compare Prices On Ecig Starter Kits go check them out there eliquid is kosher lol would you send your friend here to buy a pv,well would you.

the site you just linked to offers warranty's a support phone number, and international shipping which is more then some of the other vendors are willing to offer. so its a one man gig, does that instantly make him a ripoff because he didnt spend a fortune on webpage design?

Quit ragging on everything, do you email google everytime they show you an ad you think is a ripoff? none is forcing you to be here if your having such a problem with ecf and how they choose to pay the bills there are other less intrusive forums.

It's up to you as a consumer to do some simple research before you spend money. or are you the type that goes wow 5 dollar health insurance in my email? heck ya im gonna click this now!!!!!!
