Hi, I'm new here so I couldn't post to correct thread, but I hope I can find help from here.
So my problem is that after reading about Goblin and vertical coils here I decided to try it myself. Everything went great: great flavor and lots of vapor. But after a tank or so I cant get any flavor. I tried to dry burn the coils and re-wick but no change. I've made about five vertical coils now and with every one the problem arises after a tank or so.
I am currently using Goblin RTA, 26G Kanthal, 2,4mm ID, 6-8 wraps and muji cotton. Mod is Sigelei 150W at 50W.
Anyone have any idea whats the cause?

From what I've read it may be a lack of cotton around the coils.

Waddle: I've tried with lots of cotton and little cotton. Both work at the beginning but flavor disappears after a while.

Jimi D. But why would the flavor be great at the beginning? If the wattage was the reason, it would not taste so great at any point.
Because it was a fresh coil to begin with. Coil gunk will mute the flavor.

Well here is how I understand it.

Heat is what makes the flavour compounds and the PG they're suspended in evaporate. Without the heat there is little taste. Surface area is required for that heat to move into the juice.

Airflow is required for proper evaporation and cooling, both on the surface of the coil and the surface of as much of the liquid as possible. You can get some evaporation with just airfow and no heat! Exposed surface area is important here too of both coil and wick. Spaced coils can be better, as it creates mini juice wells between the wires, and heat radiates out sideways into these, even more room for evaporation.

Try turning your air flow down and see if that improves your flavor.
