OK, after 9 1/2 months of vaping I decided to call it a day. Reasons? Nauseous feelings from most of juices (sweetness has been the fun killer from the beginning but lately it was really getting me). Don't know what acquired PG allergy symptoms are like but I have an impression that my body doesn't like vaping anymore. So I started smoking two days ago.

Here is what I'm disappointed with:

(1) not enough nicotine. I've vaped 3-4 ml of 24 mg juice, one cigarette an hour just doesn't do it
(2) stink... I used to like it, not now
(3) too weak fumes -- 30% VG did it much better.

Anyway, I'm vaping tobacco absolute from Perfumer's Apprentice now but will probably be smoking again tomorrow. Maybe not. Thought I'd share the experience. It's been quite a ride anyway.

Take care everyone.

Sorry to hear of your struggle viktor & wish you the best in whatever direction you may take.

I personally suspect, like with any other addiction be it alcohol, drugs, mental addictions, that a required constant commitment in addition to some level of replacement satisfaction whether visual or emotional is always at play and needed to overcome that craving or yearning (if it ever "really" is replaced enough to no longer "want" or think about wanting ever again).

Unfortunately........ personal satisfaction(s) are just that..... PERSONAL. And although there is a lot of community support to attempt aiding in the bumps here, there is only ones self that can make the attempts a success or a failure.

I hope you are able to continue vaping at least in conjunction with your choice to smoke, and to instead take the approach of a "harm reduction" regime.

Peace,
Greg

Thank you all. Yes, it's kind of sad. I got used to ECF and vaping IS a brilliant idea. But hey maybe I'll be back soon and all these tears are unnecessary ;) Anyway, don't pay too much attention to occasional failures like me and keep vaping. Best of luck!

I remember when I felt my first real health effects from vaping and I almost did the same as you. I posted and felt sheepish for it and I was getting back pain, headaches and so much more from vaping PG juices.

Since that time I threw out the remaining 2 mls of Dekang PG juice I had, got a couple gallons of VG and placed an order at NFN to tide me over until I get DIY flavorings and nic base. I am happy to report no problems thus far, save from the discomfort I felt while I adjusted to 66/33 PG/VG. from VK's blend. It lasted a day for me but YMMV and everyone's body is different.

I really hope you give vaping another shot some day and I really do hear you when you say you want to walk away form vaping all together, but I am a year and a half in and there is no turning back at this point.

Well the VG seems to cause phlegm, that "wet feeling" is actually something that I have felt too! I found with PG I would get this "heavy feeling" moreso than wet per se. My other symptoms were way more pronounced though. I think that "heavy feeling" is actually the nicotine doing it's thing. Nicotine tends to temporarily paralyze the tubes in your lungs (I think that is correct.. I am pulling it from my bad memory so I might be wrong)

IME & IMO VG has helped me stay away from all that PG related discomfort and I am not having the same health effects as before at all. I am still in transition and adding more VG to my juices gradually as time passes as well, so I am placing an order through eV over the next 2-3 days (whenever I get paid) for some 100% VG juices and VG Base so I can mix it at 80/20 VG/PG and so on.

Really the worst vaping experience right now for me would be vaping even a single puff of 80-100% PG. Waves of back pain and shoulder pain, I start sweating and just feeling sick overall. It goes away eventually (10-15 minutes for me) but worries me big time about how my body is handling it.

Once I am finished with my 80/20 VG/PG mix phase I am going to try triacetin flavorings and see how those stack up.

Hope that helps wood!

PG pisses my throat off and makes it sore/dry and VG causes my stomach to cramp up and get the feeling I need to go to the bathroom if I vape too much. I try to get mixes with at least 70-50% being PG but by noon i'm usually feeling like I need to go to the bathroom if i'm vaping all morning.

So yea.. I still smoke occasionally when I get frustrated.. then I go back to vaping and try ignore the stomach stuff for a couple days... then get frustrated again.

I've read some other accounts of people saying the same about VG.. but 100% PG isn't really enjoyable to me.

Sucks.
