Hey there folks,
First post here, but I have been vaping for about almost 4 years now and I'm in need of some advice. I'm looking to order a new e-cig or new parts to accommodate what I currently own. I've been using the 510 with the 1.5 atomizers as well a the ego with dual coil atomizers and I'm still craving a better puff. I really don't like cartomizers or tank systems, so I would like to stick with atty's but I also want to stick to manual batteries. I have also tried various dual coil attys on my ego and they all just burn out super quick. I have better luck with just the regular 510 attys. Anyways I really need to get something quick, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everybody!

My advice is to get away from the proprietary battery scheme. Get something with separate batteries so you can always have the best voltage available to you.
I've had a Baby Bullet for over 20 months now and used it dripping, cartomizers and with tanks and it's been totally bulletproof and reliable. Also got the cord/passthrough unit for 5v no-battery vaping. I'm a real heavy vaper and this thing seems indestructable. Takes 14500 3.7V batteries, or 2 RC123A for 6v. It's built like a tank and has a 510 connector. They're not cheap, but their tried and true. I think I got mine at Alt-Smokes (?). Google it. They make a bigger unit of the same design called the Silver Bullet that takes 18650 batteries for those 2 day chain vaping sessions.

I like you was using the ego, i wanted a better vaping experience as well. here were my thoughts about buying mods. i havent had an analog cig since ive picked up an ecig so i have saved quite a bit of cash in that department. so i added it all up and took a 1/4 of it and bought (7 months i have smoked witch ended up being around 1400 bucks) anyway i took a 1/4 of that and bought a few mods to see what i liked the best. i ordered the roughstack v2, the glv-2 and the lava tube. the roughstack v2 because of the price for a battery driven vv mod, the glv because the reviews are steller. and the lava tube even though the reviews are pretty mixed. i like all of them. they all have there sweet spots. but what im getting at is if you smoked prior to vaping then you have saved quite a bit of cash. most mods although some a pricy will last you quite a while, and you get what you pay for for the most part. the glv-2 was expensive but built like a truck and at 5v it pretty much satisfies my vaping needs, i like the vv on the lava tube and for 4 months i have had no issues with anything. it will fire everything i throw at and for 55.00 buck on a UK site the price was good for what you get. i dont recommend the roughstack, ive had problems with it from day one. first day i blew 2 attys and a tank. it just went down hill from there till i figured out it was touchy. it wouldnt fire everything and is very picky about cartos and attys. although with the emergence of 5ohm dual coil cartos at 6v +, its a stellar mod and i really like it with them and for 45.00 its not a bad deal. i have a buddy that has the silver bullet. he really likes it. to me its a pricier version of the new bolt from M*dv*pes.com, but i dont have one so i dont use one all the time, and to be fair ive never used the bolt but looks the same and the specs are the same and its 45.00. i see alot of people crushing on there 5v box mod. you can buy the DIY kit for 12.00. if fact i just ordered a couple to put togeather for some friends, that are like you and like i was "not satisfied" with the ego any longer. so really what im saying is try a couple out. see what you like best watch reviews on youtube, and dont be afraid to spend a couple bucks. my theory was i may need a backup mod one day if i need to send the main on in for repairs and im pretty sure im not going to want to use the ego for a couple weeks straight.
Matt..

A next logical step is a good mod as others have mentioned. I will second the advice of the 5 volt GLV2. It comes with a lifetime warranty because it is built so well. And 5 volt vaping will definitely give you warmer vapor and better hit. The next step up from the 5 volt GLV2 is the variable wattage Darwin. Plain and simple, top of the line.

5 volt GLV2: GLV-2 Electronic Cigarette [GLV-2] - $120.00 : Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - Great Lakes Vapor

Power regulated, variable watt Darwin: Nhaler

I have never seen or tried this new PV but it really looks sweet. Several ECF members have raved about this guys work:
