Hi everyone!

I just wanted to share my thoughts with you. I'm so glad I started with the 510! I got lucky as it seems to be one of the more popular and compatible as far as I can see.

So far all I have is the 510 (and a couple of disposables) but I have an Ego on order and also the new Ego-tank atomizer and cartridges.

I have been fairly happy with the 510 but I have outgrown it quickly as I am a heavy smoker and the batteries only last about an hour. The good part is that the atomizer and cartridges will work with my new Ego! And the new Ego will work with the Ego -T.

I think I just got lucky and my advice to anyone thinking about vaping would be to start with an Ego as the batteries will last so much longer than a 510. I will try and find my post again to let you all know how I like the Ego and Ego-T when they come in.

You are right on target.... I did alot of research and purchased a 510 because of everything I had read. I loved that it was similar in size to a real cigarette as well. I quickly realized that the battery was an issue and I purchased the mega 510 battery to go with it. I actually like the long battery and it does last longer than the normal battery, but it still didn't last long enough... so I purchased a Riva 510 (same as the ego from what I hear), but it was slightly less expensive, and since I had already purchased my 510, additional battery, loads of juices, I needed to watch my pennies.... I am thrilled with the Riva and the life of the battery. I thought I might have a problem with the size of the Riva as it no longer looks like a cigarette, but I find that I love it. Battery life is like heaven compared to the original 510 battery and the fat battery doesn't bother me at all. I also like that I can switch between the two since they take the same atomizers and cartridges. I got my 510 on X-mas eve, and smoked very few cigarettes since then. Last cigarette was on Jan. 10th.

There are so many things that I love about e-cigs, even besides the fact that I have been smoking for 30 years, and have now put those nasty, smelly things down. Example, today was an unusually beatiful day in Memphis, so I was outside raking leaves (as I unfortunately have alot of them)... and instead of stopping to take a smoke break by going inside to get a cigarette and coming outside to sit and smoke it, I had my e-cig comfortably in my pocket and could stop whenever I wanted and pull it out. Its such a neat, clean, way to smoke. Its the best X-mas gift I could have every purchased for myself...

hi there...
i've done a little searching around google and ended up here for more info about e cigars... I had bought one of those 9dollars cheap e-cigars from DX to try it and i loved it... even got other ppl asking me to buy them cause they liked the feeling and all that non smoke non smell thing :)

but, since i only wanted to try, i didnt get any refills, and mine ended up fast. LOL... Since i really decided to start using e-cigarrets, and tried those cheap ones, i searched for more info about something a little better and more reliable... ended up buying the Joye 510 (also found the website over here), and still waiting for it to get here fast cause Marlboro prices are climbing up. The battery is (like everyone says) my concern... Questions: :p
1 - components from eGo work on this one right??? for example i can buy this one to use on my soon to arrive joye 510?

2 - As far as i could understand i can use any e-liquids to recharge them. Any suggestion stores that i could start looking for flavors??? I smoke Marlboro, but when marlboro is out i can smoke Camel, Davidoff... I read some good things about Johnson Creek e liquids, but same old problem.. They dont ship outside US (Portugal here).

3 - I wanna be ready for when they get here i have stuff to get me through some weeks, cause i dont wanna get back on analogs (lol). Any suggestions???

Sorry about the long post, but it's my first so.... i saw a lot of things in the newbies section, but this post felt right to be the one to start, since the conversation path was going on my needs :)

take care :)

As for the flavors: that's just hit and miss, I can't recommend flavors because it's too subjective.

As for the 510: yes, you can buy the eGo battery and use all your 510 stuff with it EXCEPT the charger. The eGo battery needs either it's own special charger or at least an adapter so that you can use the 510 charger HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE that the eGo will take forever to charge on a 510 charger even with the adapter and the eGo charger is only about $10 more than the adapter so it's worth it to buy it it's own charger. BUT you can not charge the 510 on an eGo charger or it will die.

All that being said, if you buy two eGo batteries (you'll want two once you use it) plus one eGo charger you will spend enough money already that it makes more sense to just spring for the whole eGo kit -- it's not like you aren't going to need more atomizers one day regardless.

thanks for the quick reply...
so, u are saying i'd better served with this..

i choose the 510 cause it was more like a real cigarrete... wasn't a great fan of those cone images i saw... but well.. since i never actually saw one...

u suggest i trade the 510 kit for an Ego kit? It's an easy switch since my brothers birthday is coming and i wanted to buy him a kit... eehhe

sorry... posted the wrong link... wanted to show this one

but i saw the choices, Atomizer type = Joye510 or eGo atomizer A and got a little confused what to choose

i understood that eGo atomizer A is the cone shape ones, so i expect the joye510 be the normal ones, little real cigarrets. Couldnt see the advantages of each one, if they exist

I would definitely go with the eGo over the 510. Plus if you don't like the cone you don't have to put it on, I don't use mine and I think it looks better and works better without it. Then it just looks like a silver cigarette that half skinny and half fat. hehehe. Yeah, that's not weird at all...

(and, yes, it's a little confusing because the eGo IS a 510, it just has a bigger battery. Anyway, it'll use 510 atomizers or cartomizers)

ok.. last question of the night.. promise i wont bother u today anymore... :)
since it's the most used i think i'll stick with joye510 atomizer... this means i can buy this, choose my e-liquid flavors and im ready to go, right???
like i said before, i want to start and dont go back to analogs by the lack of liquid or something...
so, if i'm correct:

1 - eGo kit
2 - empty Joye 510 cartridges
3 - e-liquid

and im ready to vapor for... long long time :)

The kit you are getting will come with 5 cartridges and a drip tip so you don't really need to get more at this point (although, it doesn't hurt to have extras).

For e-liquid you'll remember that most vapers use about 3mL per day (sometimes up to 5mL per day) so get enough to last until your next order comes in, whenever that may be. Plus, you will want to try a variety of nicotine mg's and a variety of flavors until you figure out which ones you like.

But, essentially, yes - it looks good to me! :)

Yep.. that is gonna be the hard thing i guess... first im looking for places to buy e-liquids, then the names i'm seeing.... i have no idea what they mean or even taste.. ok the ones like strawberry, chocolate, banana or alike i can imagine. But 5*5? Blk DJ Clove? MLB? Flue Cured Tobacco? and so on and so on... LOL... going to have to taste a loooot....
thanks for the tips :)
