I hope you have a great time while you're over here!

Vaping is not banned anywhere in the US, but it is restricted in many places to areas in which you are allowed to smoke, NYC being one of them. (And even if your hotel prohibits it, I still vape in my hotel room when I travel.)

NYC is kind of weird about it, you might get grief even if you're vaping in Central Park (although I've smoked there not so long ago even though you're not supposed to AFAIK). When in doubt, be discreet, and not in any enclosed public space except the loo if you're desperate. (Note the gratuitous use of "loo" as a feeble attempt to make you think I know something about the UK. We do that kind of stuff here).

I do hope you have a great time here! Remember that according to a recent international poll, only about 94% of us are total jerks.

I'm in NYC. The places to go to are Henley's Vaporium and Beyond Vape. As for the ban, vaping is restricted to smoking areas, however I don't think it's gone into effect as of yet. Just be discreet if you are indoors or in a public park and you'll be okay. I also vape in bathroom stalls. Clouds and and smell associated with vaping don't linger, so really, the restrictions aren't all that enforceable.

Having visited both places several times - LA and LV, I would say go to Vegas! It is an experience not to be missed in the US. Just my opinion, but you can have a whole lot of fun just walking around on the Strip. You will not believe how extravagant and huge the casinos are. Once you get to the Strip, you can walk/take a tram anywhere.

Not so easy to get around in LA as it's awfully spread out.

Google Las Vegas and you will see what I mean about the casinos. Amazing!

NYC is the best of those places! Plan at least a few days of just walking around. SF is the same way but on a smaller scale. LA is great if you enjoy sitting in traffic and like the occasional road rage shooting. It is however, the epicenter of Vaping in the USA but the stores are hours apart. Visit 310 Vapers in Long Beach. Vegas is great for about 24 to 36 hours, then you'll want to go back to New York.

I went to DC, NYC and Chicago a couple of months ago.

Regarding TSA and what you can carry, i didn't take anything into the US, bought a Blu Kit and then ordered a MVP and some aspire clearos. In the flight from Chicago/Miami/Home i took the MVP and 2 clearos in my pocket because i forgot to put it on the carry on, at the TSA security check one of the agents looked at the MVP and the other said instantly "ecig" and never told me anything.
I would put everything with liquid on a ziplock back in the carry on tho, just to be sure.

Now, vaping, i decided to behave the same way i would if i was smoking. I vaped a little in Central Park until i saw the signs about smoking.
I also tried not to vape near the signs outside building doors that said "Don't smoke here" or things like that.
Got caught in the snow storm in Chicago and vaped carefully inside my room because there were fire detectors, but if you are careful and polite you won't have problems.

okay, decided on LA > LV. Ive tried the directory, it is useful, but it is quite a long winded process checking out each store, since there is quite a few in the LA area.

Is there any recommended vape stores, carrying adv pvs ?
Yes lots. PM me and tell me where you will be. I'll tell you of some near you. Maybe we can meet there and have a vape.
