Travel and Vaping Going to mexico for 5 weeks, a little worried about vaping supllies at customs

Hey Guys,

I am going to mexico to visit my parents over christmas and I am a little worried about what Im gonna do with my vaping gear... I have heard mixed reports regarding bringing vaping supplies into mexico, from its generally illegal and will be confiscated to you just cant sell it there... Could someone one please clear this up for me so I dont worry about losing my liquid and gear when I get there?

I dont want to have to buy cigs just because customs took all my vape gear... (definitely leaving my zenesis at home, as much as it pains me)

I actually ordered some juice to be delivered to my parents house, and now realize that may have been a mistake, as they are likely to confiscate it if they catch it at the border... (are they? or am I just being paranoid? I have 90mls of AiV juice enroute to my parents in San Miguel)

I if were doing it...i'd probably get some parts to build a mod like the puck when your down there and use some simple AAA nimh rechargables...maybe you can find a radio shack?

Im gonna stick an eGo twist in my toiletries bag and hope for the best... im figuring out how im gonna explain the Kanger T3's and cartomizers though... I just really need clarification on the legality, so I can stop stressing.. I leave in a week..

Im there for 5 weeks... unfortunately disposables wont cut it... Good idea for the flight though.. but I will just keep a 510 in my pen bag with a couple prefilled cartos... Im finding a bit more clarification and it seems that its more importation and sale that is an issue (so I really hope my AiV juices dont get confiscated during shipment.. I had them shipped there because they couldnt guarantee delivery before my departure date. )

Im gonna place a few different PV's (eGo twist and a few 510s) in different places in my luggage. Getting liquid in will be easy because i have a prescription that comes in daliy doses (liquid) in little bottles so I can fill a couple bottles with DIY juice.

The more I look around, the more I see that its not really that big of a deal.. I just wish I could bring my zenesis... my dad would love it!

I've seen a few youtube vids by a Mexican reviewer (can't remember his name) but you might search for him or see if there's any vape shops near where you're going in Mexico. If it's a big resort you might check w/the concierge to see if they know of any vape supply shops. If they don't you could 'mention' that vapers are a growing community and that catering to us is as of now an untapped supply of customers.

As big as we are into co-ops, how many ecf'ers would take advantage of a 'vaping vacation' at a resort in Mexico? Imagine 200 vapers filling a resort for a weeklong vacation?

Hmmm, any travel agents out there?

I wouldn't sweat it. This year I've flown to Mexico, London and domestically 5-6 times. For carry-on just keep your liquids below the allowed levels and don't worry about baggage being stowed. I've usually flown with multiple bottles and batteries in both carry-on and stowed. I've never had an issue. I've been flagged for random searches (not because of eCig stuff) a couple times, at Heathrow on return and Cancun on return. Searches in the sense of empty out everything in your bag and let them look over everything. The most I ever got was a question of "E-Cigarette, right?" and answering Yes and moving on at Heathrow. I'd think your biggest concern would be double bagging and protecting juice so no accident ends up all over the remainder of your luggage...but also making it accessible enough in case your baggage does get searched.

I never had a problem but you mentioned about people having issues...so I couldn't say if things have changed in the last 5-6 months.

My husband and I went to Puerto Vallarta over Thanksgiving week and didn't have any problem bringing our e-cigs and juice in or out. We brought several eGos each, plus cartos, clearos, and juice. We put most of the stuff in our checked luggage, and carried a set each with cartos on the plane. We had our luggage searched, and clearly that was not the kind of thing they were looking for. Also, going through TSA, only once were we even questioned about "What is that thing" and they had no problem with our answer. You shouldn't have a problem. Happy travels!

Hey all, just sitting here in the cyber cafe at the resort in the Mayan Riviera... not a problem at all... I vaped my face off the entire stay, and now Im off to san miguel for the rest of my holiday!

Just put all your PV gear and juice (under the 3 oz limit per bottle) in ziplocks..

Vaping is Not what you need to worry about as far as Mexico is concerned.... Have fun!

I put all my vaping supplies minus a 510 auto and kanger h-coil carto filled with pluid in my checked luggage. Managed to vape in the bathroom on the way here as well! I found that if you exhale through a paper towel there is no vapor at all, even without using any stealth vaping techniques... if I have the row to myself on my flight to queratero, I will try and sneak a few puffs on the plane!
