what vendors offer free shipping? vapor beast and surevapes do but surevapes is out of stock and vapor beast is also the last time I checked.

Vapor heads has them and in the nice box. They charge for shipping, but if you use a coupon code it comes out to $19 and change.

Also found this one from ivape. They still charge for shipping, and they don't come in the nice box, but it's the best price I've seen yet.

Picked that up myself, couldn't pass it up at that price; grabbed some evod replacement heads (completely compatible with the Protank) while I was at it. The evod heads have a less airy draw.

This isn't the correct way to get some info, but it was the first thread I came across mentioning the Kanger ProTank.

I have two. The build quality is outstanding and it seems like, with a little effort, one could easily rebuild the coil. The draw is very airy, which is what causes my question.

I have a very light pull and it's not something I can do anything about. It's just the way I was made. I use a variable voltage mod and with cartomizers I use about 4.2 volts and down to get the right flavor from various juices. I wanted a clearomizer because of the huge inconsistency in cart filler, hole sizes, number of holes, number of coils, etc. I figured a good clearomizer, like the ProTank, would eliminate some leaking and the inconsistency in cartomizers. I was right! The clearomizer is the way to go FOR ME.

Here's my question: Has anyone else had trouble with the ProTank burning the eliquid because it doesn't feed very well? If you have, what did you do about it?

I thought that my light draw would be irrelevant when using a bottom feed clearomizer, so it's worrisome to me that sometimes the coil gets dry and burns the eliquid. Both my Protanks do the same thing. Now, in order to avoid the burning, I have to set my variable volt mod to 3.3 volts and lower. I know some of my juices taste much better at higher voltage, but - oh boy - if I get higher than 3.3 the juice consistently burns.

Comments? Solutions? Thanks!

I HAVE rebuilt my protank heads and it is about as simple as rebuilding gets to do.

The only liquids that I have had burn (either liquid or wicks) were really sweet dark liquids like Chocolate hazelnut. TO be fair that juice fried 3 ego attys in less than a tank as well.

In Response to others I got my protank from iVapes and it is wonderful BUT skip thier juice.. I got their Honeydew and Cherry juices and they literally made me feel ill vaping them. They both have this odd perfumey smell/taste that just did not sit well with me.

I got mine at gotvapes. Probably not the lowest price, but they do have free shipping if your order is over $67 I think.

I absolutely love the Protank. I like the airy draw, the ease of refilling and the sturdy build. Mine does not leak at all. It's replaced the Drunker as my "go-to" road warrior, though I still use the Cobra mainly at home.

Try removing a flavor wick. (a loose wick that sits atop the wick/coil) This can help wick e-liquid more easily and avoid dry hits.

I have three protanks and love then all. On a rare occasion I will get a burnt taste because it is not feeding right. This usually happens when it goes through a climate change, ie going from the cool house to the hot outdoors. To fix this I usually give it a little flip and check to see any air bubbles rising. If its really bad I unscrew the bottom cap to let fresh air in, retighten and it's good to go.

I do remove a wick from all my attys because I use 50/50 juice. My friends also have the protank but use more pg liquid and they do not remove wicks

My volts range from 4.2 to 3.8 depending on the liquid

Good to know the protank works unaltered with 50/50. I was planning to try 60/40 with my next DIY and was concerned about how much the thicker juice would gum things up.

Ok what kind of liquid are you using? Does it happen with all of your liquids or just certain ones? Are you letting your level get very low? Usually you should refill your pro tank when it gets to about 1/3-1/4. This is just what I've read, not what I've experienced yet.

Especially when I'm vaping my caramel apple the juice becomes darker and extremely thick when the juice is down to the bottom metal. I usually dump it out, give the the tank a quick rinse (not the atty unless its not performing stellar) refill and go
