I disagree with the previous posters.

I have about 7 SLB 510 atomizers, and they do not have wide gold bands.

But I have about 20 wide gold bands atomizers from Totally Wicked.
And I have about 10 with no gold band that ARE NOT SLB that I got a long time ago.

The SLB atomizers are different for sure, in that they have much higher resistance.
They perform more like a 901 atomizer.

But just looking at narrow band versus wide band won't tell you anything.
You have to look for the washer in the bottom, which would make it an SLB atomizer.

Are you saying that Joye ONLY makes the thick gold band?
The only place I have ever seen the thick gold band atty's are TW and ECC.
Everyone and their brother sells genuine Joye atomizers without thick gold bands.
Weather they are genuine or not, The Joye atomizers I buy from Eastmall and Health Cabin work better than the atomizers with the thick gold band.

Yeah the authentic Joyes have a wider gold band.

These I sold in the classified section are authentic joye attys and notice...no wide band

This is what I'm really trying to find out. To me, the thin gold band atties work MUCH better than the wide gold band ones. I just can't remember where I got the wide ones! Don't want to buy those again.

The wider band I got from Totally Wicked and The Electronic Cigarette Company. They worked GREAT. There is no compariaon to the atty's with the washer. But then when I got the Joye Atty's from Health Cabin, with the thin gold band, they worked even better. They even worked great on high voltage mods at vapefest. They are the best I have found so that is all I sell now. I will not buy the low resistance washer atty's if I can help it.

To me, the wide band work almost as good as the thin, but the thin ones seem to last longer and there are not as many D.O.A.

I don't give a crap what they said. I have used both, without a mod, and the thin band atomizers from Health cabin work better than the thick band from tw and ecc. There IS a difference. I don't know if the gold band has anything to do with ohms watts or resistance or heat or what, and I don't care. I am talking about the JOYE atomizers with the thin and thick gold bands. They are BOTH great, but the genuine Joye with the thin band works better IMO.

If you want to talk about the knockoffs, like the one in the picture you just posted, there isn't much to talk about except wasting your money. Unless you vape on a gazillion volts, then you need a piece of crap like the ones with washers to run it.

I'm pretty convinced that the actual real difference between the wide band joyes and the thin band joyes is simply that the wide band makes it easier for rebranding options for some of joye's clients...it gives a place for engraving or adding a decorative band for the client's company...the narrow bands aren't being rebranded or marked so they just don't need the space of the wide band..

Original JOYE510s thin bands from Health Cabin measures the same ohm readings as the original Joye510s wide bands from TW. Both are produced by Joye. Any difference is purely psychological, unless you have the really old batches, which I am pretty sure have ran out of production since last year.

Well, that is when I purchased them, around December. They still work, just not as good as the thin band. 1 out of 10 thick band was d.o.a. I have never had a d.o.a.thin band. Both versions are great, if they are not d.o.a. It just seems the ones I have purchased from HC work better, and friends have told me the same.

They are manufactured by JoyE for Janty. What is the difference, I am not sure, but there is a slight difference in the vaping experience. I have regular JoyE attys and SLBs and 2 (wide bands) that came with my eGo. With the exception of the SLBs they meter right on at 2.5 Ohms.
