I feel like there is too much information and i am getting confused as to what to buy. I want to continue to use the M-Pack that i got with purchase of magma starter kit. but i feel like the battery life on m-batteries suck. i barely get 30 mins before i need to charge again. i want to know
1) can i use other 510 batteries with my m-pack
2) will these work with my magma tank + atty
3) what kind of battery life can i expect with a "good" 510 battery
please post any direct links to batteries that i can buy
thanks

Sorry about the information overload - it can be daunting. Don't fret though.

1) Yes, but obviously only ones that will physically fit, like the first link below.
2) Yes.
3) Heavy vaper? Anywhere from 2-3 hours with these, 5-6 hours with these, almost a day with these, over a day with these (2 batteries included.)

Now mods, that's a whole 'nother level, but this is a good start.

Feel free to ask as many questions as you'd like, we'd love to help.

hi, thanks fort the detailed response!
my obvious choice would have been the one that lasts longer than a day but it looks like it wont fit the magma slot. i decided to go with this KGO batteries
and also buy the passthrough battery that cavi suggested
thanks for the replies. will continue to check for more ideas.
one question though. i noticed all the batteries you guys suggested are manual. is that one of the reasons they last longer ?

actually i don't know if all of the above batteries will fit the magma slots
please check the images below. all of them do not seem to be 510 batteries. some of them are ego batteries.
i want to know what is the longest lasting 510 battery

When you add juice, sometimes we all overfill, and if juice gets on an auto battery it can ruin it, The manual batteries are sealed, therefore a lot harder to kill this way. Also what cavibird said :)

The eGo is also a 510, the 510 refers to the threading.

The mah can give you an indication of charge time, approximately 100mah = 1 hr

i think i narrowed down my needs. what i am looking for is a slim 510. the volcano magma is a 180 mah slim 510. looks like there is not much to do beyond in that size. the next closest alternative i have is slim 510 mega which has 340 mah. but this won't fit in my magma case. now i am wondering if the blucigs premium100 case is really for 510 mega since they like to not reveal the actual size specs on those branded pccs

The only size 510 that will fit in your M-pack have the same exact charge life as your current batteries no matter what brand of 510 you get (and Joye and Janty are real 510's) - 180mah (100mah is about 1 hour of moderate vaping). They will work in your Mpack except for FS510 which is a reverse polarity battery and would fry itself and your Mpack. But no other same-size 510 will give you any more charge.

The longer slim 510 mega xl size needs a metal 510 mega PCC (though vaporkings.com sells one that comes with an adapter to let it also charge the short 510 batteries). 510 mega xl is 280mah of charge and 128mm long with a cartomizer. And I recommend manuals if you want the best hit and want to be able to use a drip tip. Again - never buy FS510. I recommend Joye brand.

To get more charge than that you need to go Ego or Ego clone (note - Riva 510 from Liberty-Flights.com - their Riva 510 kits are 3.7 vs Ego's 3.4v so they run stuff a bit hotter than Ego). Or a 510-threaded mod.

Any of these can use your Magma atomizers and tanks though some Ego clones and mods may need a short extender if their threads are deeper than the threads of your magma atomizer. Short 510's like you have and the mega xl 510 can use your charger (unless they are FS510 - don't buy those). All the Ego size and up need their own chargers and their chargers can damage slim batteries.
