Retired, thanks for taking the time to respond here, but the password reminder is going to a previous email address, so it can't be retrieved
( as I explained to the ADMIN. many times in our back and forth " ticket" emails)Why can't i be allowed to change my email address to the current one on my "oldbroad" profile and user account so I can get it back? I really don't understand all this confusion....

This is a bunch of BS. How hard is it to properly manage a fricken forum? I can understand your frustration and why you would be so upset with these peoples incompetenance!
Thanks for having my back...but i think they'll get it straightened out as soon as they figure out how...hopefully....
Just so everyone understands, forum software has evolved from the old text-based software that you could easily manipulate, into database/table monstrosities that are sometimes difficult to "manipulate". Passwords are not stored in plain text or even encrypted, they are stored with a hash tag so that the admins don't even have easy access.
As evidenced by the fact that they are still talking to Oldbroad (aka, Katiedid, Kay, Elvis Groupie
) I'm sure they're doing their best, but this is no small task even for admins.
It's a given they HAVE to get it fixed, how else will they propagate pictures of "The King" all over the forum?

Well...I got on the pc a bit ago and there was three new emails from ECF.
first one at 10:23 said my user name was "oldbroad".
Second one said " to kaypers@...". at 10:26....need to check spam acct.
Third one said: dear oldbroad...user name " oldbroad". at 2:12.
Think I'll give the third one a shot!!!!
Well well well...just got another ECF email it called me oldbroad, too! That's a very good sign!
And it gave me a password to put in...one of them strange ones with lower case, capitals, and nos.
Think that if i wait just a little longer they'll just do the whole user, password, sign-in thing for me?

I just got a PM from Retired one..," here's the password for oldbroad account...put it in...nothing.... so they're finally understanding that I say i am who i say i am...but I STILL can't get to my own damm account!

And kudos to Retired1.....he's the one that finally made it happen...course, I think a few of the ECF admin. had a hand in it,too, based on all the emails, including the six or seven just today!

You are not the only one that forgets! I have to do back-ups for my back-ups! LOL!
This has been quite the journey karen! I wrote it down with a permanent marker on the wall
and ain't NUTHIN' gonna change from here on out!
Looking back on this big mixup..and now that I've calmed down, I'd like to give credit to the ECF admins. for the time they took to try to straighten this mess up. I had two " tickets" with them and many, many emails back and forth over this course of time.
I'm pretty sure that they caused it in the first place, but it didn't help this situation that I hadn't kept my email addie up to date.
And, again, I'm very grateful to all of you that put yourselves out there for me, it means more to me than you'll ever know!
And now i can say...it's over...
