I am working outdoors. I am getting tired of tanks, clearamizer etc that leak juice at any temperature other than standard room temp.
I work in Dallas Texas so outside temperature runs from 12 degrees to 118 degrees.
I am using itazte vv battery. It is great for home but its life is a bit sad.
Any advice appreciated. I will be looking at purchasing a vaping tank, clearamizer in next two weeks.

Remember, cold thickens the liquid a bit and heat breaks it down quite a bit. I'm not a viscosity expert, but thin out the juice and you may have a leaking issue eventually. I work in different temps as well, however not that extreme (except for the sub zero temps up here in the notheast, lol). I have been vaping for over four years and sub-ohm most of the time...or drip, but when I am out and about, I usually employ two options. My dripper (Velocity RDA) or my Nautilus Mini. My Nautilus Minis have the optional stainless steel/glass tank attached. More durable. It gives you a bit less liquid capacity but it is probably the most sturdy and consistent set-up I have for work and adventure. A big plus to this? With that durability you don't lose flavor or vapor. The flavor is still the reigning winner among non sub-ohm tanks, and as those clearos go, you are gonna be hard pressed to beat the dense vapor production. And get yourself an iStick 30w to replace that VV :) I LOVED Innokin when I started, but that iStick is awesome for stealth, travel and vape time on the battery! About the same price as the new VV 4.0 but over twice the battery life! And its relevant if you ever want to sub-ohm. Just a thought...lol.

Firstly, thank you very much for your rapid reply and wealth of helpful info. I appreciate you.
Secondly I have been looking at Nautilus. Duribility counts for me. Lol driving cars for a rental agency at Love Field means bumps and a few drops. So an all steel tank would rock for me.
I would also like the opposite of most vapers...a tiny cloud. Mostly around here I see college aged kids with boxes trying to replicate a Cheech and Chong movie scene.
The corporation I work for has bought into every lie imaginable about ecig s and lumps them into the same category as tobacco.

I would suggest the iStick 30 watt and Nautilus Mini.

It should be noted that you can purchase the 40 watt IStick with temperature control for about the same price as the 30 watt. Check these links:

I'd say first thing is to get them not to leak @ room temp well for a start. i don't know how long you've been vaping but it generally takes awhile to learn how to reassemble without leaking.

Or perhaps a Cartomiser tank. They generally almost never leak, many of us still use them. If you don't use harsh eliquid, you can use a durable Poly carbonate tank. Mine is over 3yrs old.

These are Polypropylene which can handle some harsh liquids.-

I'm with ya on the uneducated people out there. The Nautilus Mini isn't a cloud chasing clearo by any means. And stealth vapes are easily obtained with them. Matter of fact, I just took the family on a boat tour and had the iStick 30W with the same Nautilus Mini and stainless/glass tank...great pair! And yep, there were people on that ship that didn't know smoke from vapor. So, it did the trick!! Good luck!!!! And stay cool.

I long for the day when safe equipment and ejuice is available around the corner and the CEO vapes and has provided all applicable info on vaping on corporate web site and allows employees as well as renters to use ecigs anywhere on property.

Some of the renters return cars the stink so badly of cig smoke that we have to send them out for detailing. I was told that costs 350 to 400 dollars US. And yes we pass that bill onto the responsible renter.

But ecigs...slight sent that rolling down the windows, cleaning car normally and running Ac with recirculation turned off for a few moments and tada...nothing.

I have really had no issues with my kanger tanks the MT3S and the T3D with leaking but i have also never had to deal with 112 this year yet in kansas however the MT3S did make it locked in a hot truck for over an hour inside was around 100 and no leaks so that is a option i hope this info is helpful.

Something small enough to fit in your pocket should maintain a more constant temperature. It's not the temp but the changes, namely anytime the temp increases, be it from room to hot or from cold to room. A few things can help, when I leave clearos in the car I put them tip down so most of the juice can't escape. The other is normal anti-leak cleaning techniques. For example, EVODs and Protanks have a little tube out of the top of the coil unit that should be wiped off every fill, to avoid multiple tanks worth of normal coil spitting trying to take the space that nicely accomodates a tank worth. If pulling the coil and base out to fill also releases any juice out the mouthpiece, clean that as well. If you don't do this you will eventually get leaking and spitting even at constant temperature.

I do recommend the EVOD clearo for many flavors and the Mini Protank 2 for juices needing glass. The flavor is great if configured properly (voltage less than 3.7/about 5.2 watts, higher resistance coils or they will burn on longer drags). A decent 650 maH battery should last all day (if not, get 2). The only decent starter kit for them I am aware of is the MyFreedomSmokes EVOD which costs $8 and their current version will probably need the coil replaced immediately with a Kanger 2.2 ohm. Every other starter kit I've seen is fixed voltage, unregulated battery, or can't be adjusted down low enough. These units are not any more or less leakproof but they do the best combo of flavor, size and weight. Avoid the EVOD2, Protank 3, most or all Aspire BDC/replacement BVC stuff as they use twice the power, 3 times the juice and often deliver less flavor in the bargain.

Another option would be a dripper. They leak immediately and profusely when not held upright unless almost empty or a lot of wick is used, but they are completely unaffected by heat except of course the battery probably shouldn't be worked too hard when it's 112 degrees.

At those temps be VERY careful most 18650 batteries will burst or explode above 100 F for any amount of time, I always leave a cold pack in my glove compartment if I have anything with those batteries! They are much more sensitive to heat and cold and hard knocks than normal batteries!

Bottom coil design clearomizers all suffer from this I am afraid, so you have to minimize a few factors, namely liquid viscosity and tank pressures.

Moving to/from a controlled cool environment to a warm to hot environment or vice-versa basic physics come into play, something gets warm it expands and builds pressure (liquid and air in tank) something gets cool it shrinks and decreases pressure. Ambient air pressure also affects internal pressures in the tanks as well, so increase or decrease in altitude will cause flood just like a hot tank will. Moving from a controlled temperature environment or lowering altitude, store the tank upside down, as pressure builds, the only thing that can be pushed out the juice channels/wicking area is air, if keeping the unit in this hot environment for extended period, keep the tank upside down until use. Moving from a hot environment to a cool environment, or going up in altitude, store the tank upside down for a few minutes, as the atmosphere cools and decreases inside the tank creates negative pressure (vacuum), again where the juice flows/wicks with only air here, that is all that is vacated or pulled in, also you can try opening and closing the tank after about 5minutes to equalize the pressure rapidly in this second environment change.

Plus side, you mostly only have to worry about this type of leaking/seeping during the hotter months, colder months, liquid likes to congeal to thicker, making the tank more prone to slower wicking and dry hits -_-' , thus why I moved from clearomizers to RTA's as my tanks of choice, less prone to these issues.

Is that a brown istick? I've never seen one that color. Do you mind if I ask where you got it? Thanks!

I use a kanger subtank with the RBA deck and did a bowtie cotton wick, ever since I started to use that wicking style on the subtank it has not leaked at all along with almost never having a dry hit (only when I'm vaping above 4.2v nonstop do I get a dry hit). I can leave that thing in my hot car filled up to the brim with 50/50 juice and it still won't leak

This. I've never had a leak from my Nautilus Mini's, in 95 to 100 degree weather. They do tend to gurgle when you go from cool outside to outdoor heat, but they haven't leaked like my kangertech subtank mini's have. The nautilus mini is really best for mouth to lung draws, and puts out less vapor running at lower watts like 8 to 12 or so.
