Make sure you are not getting any eliquid on your tongue. The nicotine will deaden the buds for a while. I'm about where you are at timeline wise (about two months) and I find that if I overfill my cartos or blow them out without a drip tip, that little extra juice gets on my tongue and numbs things up for a while. I try to drink straight soda water to clean the palate. Hang in there!

CloudCuckooMan I'm in the same place as you are and it's driving me nuts. I've been mixing up some potent juices, up to 40% flavor, and nothing. The only two I can taste are a Raspberry Tahitian Limeade Champagne and oddly enough the always elusive taste of Honeysuckle. If and or when my tasty buds come decide to start doing their job again I'm going to be extremely scared to try some of these mixes I've been concocting the past week or so. Somehow I still can't bring myself to try the menthol cure but it's beginning to look very likely that I'll be sucking down the ml's by the end of next week. Hope everyone here that's going through this problem gets their taste buds back.

Sincerely,
Wingapo

There are a couple flavors that always seem to perk my taste buds back up ... Lemon Ice and Green Van from Premium E-Liquid and Handmade USA E-Juice by Mister-E-Liquid.com - Green van is a daily vape, it's a mix of wintergreen and vanilla. Lemon ice, I use mostly when I can't taste other things, its an icy cold lemon that is just fantastic! They both seem to "cleanse" the palette, allowing me to taste my other juices again.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'm gonna give the menthol a shot even though I'm not a big fan. I don't think I could hang with the cinnamon stuff I really can't even handle cinnamon gum. I've got my first bottles of BWB RY4 and Malty sitting in my mailbox for me when I get home today and I'm not gonna be able to taste them! :( Day 7 of no buds and counting...There will be quite a celebration when they return. I feel your pain Wingapo.

CloudCuckooMan, variety can be the spice of (vaping) life.

Most analog smokers settle upon one particular brand in one particular strenght (for instance, Marlboro Ultralight 100's) and smoke those exclusively.

The fun of vaping is playing with all the different flavors.

And, like you, I get the dreaded "dead-bud" syndrome.

My solution has been to rotate. Every Saturday morning, I charge up five fresh (brand-new or cleaned) Echo-e cartos with five different flavors, selected from my stash somewhat at random. I'll include a "tobacco" or two, a menthol or menthol blend, a fruit (cherry, lemon, lime, whatever) or two and sometimes an oddball (whisky, Key lime freeze, whatever). During the week, I'll top off those five cartos as needed. Then, on the next Saturday, the five cartos go in the wash bucket and I'll select another five flavors, all different from the previous five. All told, I probably have 25 or so different flavors I like enough to vape, off and on, for a week. Very often, I won't get back to a particular flavor until a month has gone by -- then it's like rediscovering an old friend.

Just what works for me . . . your mileage may vary.

darn, I had a menthol (never liked menthol analogs at all) that got me through this, it was GREAT, but I dont know who made it cause I gave it to a friend (along with a kit) who was trying to 'kick it'!

I have to say, after 2 months of trying to find what tastes good to me, I came accross Backwoods brew!! The problem is (and it may not be a problem to some people at all) some of my favorite tobacco flavors need to 'steep' a bit. this is why trading flavors can be good, already steeped!! The BWB virginia... WOW, but IMO needs to steep, but adirondack and backo(to me) are great right out of the mailbox!!!
