I'm considering Dr Frankenstein-ing it up a bit and making my own e-liquid. Are there any decent sites based in the UK where I can buy a good base?

Liberty Flights might be a good bet for you: Unflavoured Eliquid That said, I'd suggest you check out the U.K. Forum & inquire there. I expect you'll find a lot of knowledgeable, helpful folks there who know a lot more about the suppliers in the U.K.
