Building coils is fun and satisfying. I have several RDAs and they actually all work well. I think adjustable airflow is important and pay attention to how large the post holes are. If you get into twisted wire coils you will want something that can hold larger gauge wire.

My personal opinion would be to buy a few different types. Sometimes clones of these are really inexpensive. See what you like and then maybe purchase the authentic as it will most likely be better.

I second that.... Most addy's are pretty good for cloud chucking. I have a Kennedy Competition RDA and the only thing some folks may object to about it is that it offers no airflow adjustment as it is purposely wide open. It has four giant airflow ports and doesn't even feel like your breathing through a device. Plus it has 2 airflow ports at the top of the cap to help cool the vapor. It is sweet.

My first Rdas were Trident, Origen, Mutation X and can definitely recommend any of these. With all the info/vids available now the learning curve should be pretty quick even if you've never built one. I was coming from using Rtas exclusively: Kayfuns and aqua and found the drippers to be much more forgiving in setting them up.

Just bought a Sapor, my first RDA. Top airflow so no leaking. I was taught to build in a B&M store and found it really easy. There's a review from today up in the RDA forum. I like it enough that I'll probably buy another before I start branching out. Here's a link to help guide you regarding building coils, but based on my experience a knowledgable B&M shop can be of big help in terms of getting it right.

    Good luck

It's my first RDA but compared to my kanger Subtank nano and my evods its a significant upgrade. And that's not even factoring in that I've only done one build, so I imagine more flavors will open up by experimenting with wicking material, coil build style, etc.

I'm not chasing clouds and I'm noticing flavors that I haven't in the past. I like it enough to be considering getting another one (one for complex/tobacco flavors and one for fruit flavors).

    Hope that helps.

Also, my assumption is that it's a cooler vape than side-bottom airflow RDA. Your airflow with the Sapor is significantly above your coils rather than running past the hot coils. I like that because hot fruit flavors have no appeal to me.

Someone with more knowledge of RDAs can jump in and correct me if I'm wrong (it is my first RDA), but I am an engineer FWIW, and I think I'm interpreting the situation correctly.

I just got a Twisted Messes for my first RDA and I love it. It's got huge post holes to accommodate larger builds down the road, can be used in single or dual coil mode, and comes with a ton of extras. MFS has them for a good price, especially if you're able to use the 15% off coupon. I highly recommend it.

Generally the more air you have the less flavor. Warmer or cooler vapes don't affect flavor as much in my experience, but they do affect the vapor. I don't understand it, but it just happens that way. It could be because when you take huge lung hits with open air that the flavor basically bypasses your taste buds since you have a huge cloud of awesome being shoved down your throat.

I might try the Sapor. They are cheap enough to not break the bank, and I've become a somewhat a fan of Wotofo over these past few months especially once I got my Phantom mod in.

A Tugboat V1 is the best flavor maker I've found so far. There is very little airflow, but what you get in exchange for that is a super flavorful, dense vape. It's a 3 post design, so there is a learning curve on getting your coils lined up with the air holes, but it's awesome once you get it built right. If you are on a budget, I would suggest anything by Infinite. The authentics are so inexpensive ($20 - $30 at the B&M, cheaper online), nobody bothers to clone them and they are solid drippers. I have the CLT2+, and it is a fog machine. I hear good things about the mutation line too.
