I have the nautilus mini on a 50w Eleaf I stick. I wanted to make clouds but every e liquid tastes of nothing really. Iv got 50/50, 80/20. £5-25. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have it on 40w, 8.4v Is it a crap set up?
Well, for starters, your Nautilus mini cannot possibly handle 40 watts. It was not designed for that kind of vaping. I'm surprised that you're not getting nasty burnt hits, honestly. Dial the wattage down to 7 or 8 watts and see if gets better.
If you want huge clouds and tons of vapor, you need to get a sub-ohm tank, like the Subtank.
I don't know the micro gdc. I give a glowing endorsement to the istick 30w with a GS Air M on it.
For a long time I told everyone that asked a god starter kit was the MVP2 and a Nautilus mini. Heck I was using my Nautilus last night while hanging at a friends house as I was a little afraid I would cloud out the room. forgot how good those little tanks are. The iStick is a great little device with plenty of "room to grow" if decide to get into the mild side of sub-ohming.
You need a new coil for sure. Just hitting it once at 40 watts and 8 volts has destroyed it. On the coil it tells you the wattage it's rated for. I usually use 9 watts with that tank. It's not for clouds or higher watts at all
It all depends on where you're coming from. Are you a former smoker? If so, how many packs a day?
If you have never smoked and just wanted to get into vaping, I think it's a good start.
If you're not getting enough air through your tank and want more air, you can go for the Atlantis, or Starre but stick to the .5 ohm coils. You can fire those between 20-30 watts.
I used to smoke 2 packs a day and istick30 just didn't last me long enough during the day, I currently use the istick50 and it lasts me about 5-6 hours a day of chain vaping with either tank at .5 ohm coils.
Istick50 works well with freemax Starre tank and .5 ohm coils. been using it for about a month with no issues.
Nautilus mini with 1.8 ohm coil aint gonna give you clouds. going subohm is what you need to get clouds.
I know. I can't even imagine how hot that must have been. 8 volts through a very limited airflow setup lol. I couldn't do that's for sure
Ive noticed once you get past the "sweet spot" juices lose their flavor if you keep throwing wattage at them...just because it goes to 40 doesn't mean you have to use it at 40...I believe the top end "standard voltage" for the nautilus head is 6v

istick is a great starter mod, i loved my istick30 until i gave it to a friend to get him off cigs, he is still using and loving it 6 months later. I would just pair it with your choice of sub ohm tank and you will be ready to rock!
4.2 volts is a nice Nautilus vape imo. Some juice especially custards, creams come alive with higher watts but only if your equipment can handle those watts
I'm going to echo the Nautilus for a start up tank. The Kangar Sub Tank (as well as other sub ohm tanks) typically flow too much air for someone first starting out who is used to the draw of a cigarette. Any small box mod will work nicely with it and there are many to choose from.
most if not all of the sub ohm tanks can be closed down to flow low air as well. why would someone buy the nautilus for the low airflow, when they can get the atlantis with the same low airflow, and lots of room for more?
