Hi Red. You seem to have a good handle on this. How is Scubabatdan's mixture put to use? I understand that it already has EM in it. So, when the bottle arrives in the mail box, I would just add it to my PG/nic mixture? I want to experiment in DIY and this seems like the right set of training wheels for me. =)

Thank you for any help you can offer...

Yep, that's it. You basically treat it as a flavoring using scuba's calculator. He recommends 1 drop per 1 ml. Also recommended is to add other flavors if you want a different undertone, like caramel, hazelnut, or peanut flavoring.

^ What brand is your ecig.?

Dear John,

If you were asking me that Q -- A 510. It works very well. I did condition the atty first. Im using the pre-filled cartridges and some dripping. It doesnt matter, it all tastes like smoking the tires on my car.
It also tastes like smoking ..... I am trying to get used to the effect. It makes me sleepy. No body has mentioned anything like this on this forum. I am using VG, but will try some of the others you guys have mentioned.

From what I've tasted and tried and what others here have said I think you'll find any of the China manufactured (Pekang perhaps, I'm awful with names) PG flavors to be too sweet to be considered a tobacco flavor. Some are OK to me and have a decent TH and vapor that they can do as a substitute but I'm still looking for something that's closer to 'the real thing" and truly can satisfy my occasional desire for an analog.

Hello to all,

Briefly: Im vaping MLB (tobacco flavor) Let me say to all newbies that this stuff tastes like plastic. I have tried the 555 and it tastes the same. Vaping is nothing like smoking at all. I dont know yet if this will work for me at all.
All I can say so far is YUCK !!

Very disappointed,

Fumes
I'm having a hard time with this, too. It is nothing like smoking and I'm doing it under duress because my mother lives with me now and it's for her sake and getting fed up with the constant nagging and moaning and exaggerated gagging and coughing. I'm a die-hard, heavy menthol cigarette chain smoker for decades (and no health problems) and this makes me feel stupid sometimes. I'm willing to give this a go. However, the issues I'm having is replacing atomizers every other day which is going to drive me into the poor house faster than smoking analogs. I don't think attys dying is a common problem. It's just probably my luck that I happened to get sold a batch of bad ones. I understand that happens sometimes. I have not found anything even CLOSE to an analog flavor - not even throat hit. Close - but no cigar!

OK, Milo - Harley 56 from Halocigs. Why do they use all the goofy names. It will be easier when this fledgling industry standardizes the strengths and flavors.
bsop - we are both looking now for something that doesnt make us feel like we just ate axle grease pie. Blaaach
Absolute beginner, I feel your pain. My 510 from Cignot is well made. I have not even charged the battery and it is still going strong for the 2nd day. The attys appear indestructable. I had to wash out the cartridges. I found out they were 18mg, which to me is super junkie way too strong. I made a mix of 555 at about 10-13mg. I added water too. I think next I will add oven cleaner to help with the grease stuck to my mouth.8-o

Ok PaulB, I will check out "September wolves" at Cignot. Thanks
gamedemon has "American E-Liquid Tobacco"
redgirl mentions TA, thanks for the link. I dont think I will go for the blend. They are cutting it with alcohol. Vaping that doesnt sound good. But TA is an option.
jessie said to try out Myfreedomsmokes.com double flavor.

Looks like I have my work cut out for me. Thank you all for your suggestions very much.

Vaping isn't going to be exactly like smoking. I remember when I first started I was looking for the exact taste and feel of a cigarette, boy was I wrong. I actually now prefer the tast of vaping over the taste of smoking! Give it some time and when you find the right liquid and pv you may actually prefer vaping! Good Luck!

Nhaler Octane High Voltage Plain Tobacco and CigarBacco. Closest I came and the only one that gave me a nicotine buzz.
To me most Dekang tobaccos all taste the same, but never throw anything away. What stinks this week is great next week.
Also...VERY important!! If you flood out or have too much fluid...everything tastes the same....like burnt plastic. Blow them out if it starts to taste bad.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. As I've gotten used to loading the cartridge and drawing the vapor, the Puresmoker's become a little better. Too hard on the throat hit, though... I think because of the high nicotine (the 11mg sample they gave me is great... except that it's menthol). And still a little light on the flavor... some decent smokey flavor, but no real underlying richness that blends with my coffee... throughout the day, it's ok though.

I ordered some JC Original in 12 mg... sounds like what I'm after, and also partly because they're kind of local for me. We'll see. Hopefully it works, because I already prefer vaping to smoking... just need to find something a little smoother and richer without getting sweet.

Actually I have heard that atomizers do die frequently, many times a year. I don't ever have to worry about atomizers, because I use the vapor4life ecigs. Have you tried their menthols yet? I think they're wonderful also.
