Hi guys,

Been a while since I posted. I am trying to reduce my nicotine to 0mg, but I've noticed that the lower I go, the less noticeable the throat hit is. Seems like the nicotine is responsible for the TH?

Is it possible to get a good, robust TH with 0mg liquid?

Really appreciate your help, and apologies if this has been posted elsewhere. The forum is huge and I couldn't find it after a quick search.

Hmm... As far as I know, nicotine makes up the throat hit pretty much. I have heard of something you can add to juice to give it a little throat hit, but it's not as good as nicotine. Also, I heard that cinnamon and menthol may help some, as well as higher PG juice as opposed to higher VG juice. I'm still at 18mg nic though, so I don't know much. Interested to know more myself, for when I finally start weaning down.

The TH mostly comes from your nicotine content. I have vaped 0mg juice that was full PG on a 0.1ohm RDA (sub-ohming) and there was no throat hit. If you want throat hit you have to use at least 12mg juice in a clearo or 6mg in a sub-ohm RDA (that is just my experience but this is subjective).

Please be safe with sub-ohming. The highest continuous amperage rated battery is 30amp. 0.1ohm draws 37 amps. The absolute lowest you should go 0.13Ω which draws 28.4615amps, however I would stick to 0.14Ω-0.15Ω if you have to go that low.

I'm sorry, but why would you comment if you don't know what your talking about? I have batteries that can handle 80 amps pulse so I'm more than safe with a .1 ohm coil on a 3-5 second drag.

Also, I must ask, are you not releasing the button on your sub-ohm builds? I don't see how continuous discharge comes into play at all since it's not being used to power a device that requires or will ever use a continuous discharge.

Also, 30 amps is not the highest rated battery. My efest 18650's are rated for 35 amps continuos and even higher pulse current rating. Please do your research before commenting and confusing people....

I'd not run a battery based on it's burst current characteristics because amongst other things it reduces your margin of safety and neglects things like "what if the mod fires in your pocket etc". Thrashing batteries is also not good for their lifespan.

It's also the case that when you get into really low sub-ohms like that - you will have to take into consideration the accuracy with which you can measure your coils, since multimeters have a margin of error that is amplified the lower you go.

I'm not saying you cannot do these things, maybe you can, but it's certain to say that it's not a safe way for an average vaper with any consideration for his batteries to carry on.

In answer to the OP - i quite like a cinnamon mix, but it has the usual tank cracking traits. I use an SS RBA to get around that.

The Efest battery is like 2 months old, my bad, just did research on it.

And btw, a pulse lasts for 10-20 seconds, just because your battery can handle 5million amp pulses doesn't mean you have to build a 0.00009ohm coil to exploit it, the one time you take that extra long drag because you were at work or some family event where you couldn't vape for a while is going to be the day you get a battery acid facial. All because of this stupid sub-ohming trend.

Enjoy.
