I have only tried one recipe , tribecca, and it came out ok, but I'm ready to try something else...I mainly vape tobacco nets from hhv, but do like tribecca and wanted to try other similiar juices. I have a bunch of wizard labs flavors, but only have ry4 double as a tobacco flavor and am looking for another couple tobacco flavors to add with all my other flavors..I have flavors like caramel, barbarian creme, butterscotch, graham cracker, toasted almond, brown sugar, frosted donut, hazel nut, pralines, raisen, dulcet de leche, etc. I know I'm not going to make anything like my nets from hhv, but looking to dabble and possibly make something I would enjoy...I do like a bit of that ry4 double, but it's kind of dominant, so looking for another tobacco flavor that's a bit more subtle. I love tobacco vapes but ones that have sweet notes to them....thanks

I've tried a lot of Tobaccos, and make my own NETs. I wouldn't go outside of Flavorah or Inawera. You also have Stixx Mixx - amazing NETs

These would be worth a watch, Fear and ChemicalBurnVictim are tobacco authorities...

Try this I luv it
7% Double RY4
3% Butterscotch (some may want to adjust this lower)
3% Pistachio
3% Vanilla Swirl
2% Bavarian Cream
2% Caramel Candy
This looks to be @tc1's recipe for Scutch:
Scutch - RWhy4 Reloaded

I agree it is a good sweet tobacco. It also play well with nut concentrate substitutions. I have used it with Toasted Almond, Pecan, and Walnut, in place of the Pistachio. All were good; and created their own unique versions.

These days, the butterscotch and caramel candy, exceed my sweet-tooth preferences. However, for those who like a sweet tobacco; it is certainly a worthy candidate.:thumb:

Tobacco flavors as a category really shine for me, rather than list my favorites (many are included below) might want to check out:

The Purilum Sweet Tobacco flavor has a better flavor than Double RY4 in my opinion but it also mixes well with Double Ry4.

Just ordered 8oz of the Sweet Tobacco, my last batch was much too small to test, since I ended up using the rest solo @7% and vaping it ALL.

A great background, sweet flavor is Hangsen Virginia. This along with Tobacco Absolutes was the turning point for me in making some satisfying tobaccos. The Inawera TA Garuda is in the most of my blends, but it still took over a year to finish a 10 ml bottle. My main mix of it is 1-1.2% with tiny amounts of other flavors. Others use 2 drops per 25 ml. Lately I found the TFA Western intense, but had a burning paper or cotton flavor, like it didn't vape right. I went from 1.5% Western to 1% TA + .5% Western, much better. The Garuda is a really surprising flavor, you might not even know it's tobacco, but it is both refreshing and a perfect base flavor. Their Cuban is also good, currently running it with a cigar NET. I need to try others, some brands are known for smokiness.

My latest RY4 discovery is VapeMall's. Day after mixing it tastes a lot like Dekang, fake, complicated, strange, intense. Next day still has some but is getting decent, after that it's really good. Using 1 drop per ml, ~2.2%.

What brand pistachio flavor are you using and how do you like it? I’m trying to find some nut flavorings that work well with tobaccos. I love pistachios so I figured they are a good candidate.

I think you might have been asking @john1211 this; but I am going to chime in anyway. (I know; "Shocker!":D)

I like nut flavored vapes, especially with tobaccos, so I have tried a few:
    • TFA Pistachio: Good authentic flavor. A bit more like the pistachios you might find in pistachio ice cream (but w/o any cream notes) than say a freshly shelled pistachio. Potent! Start low and move up as needed.
    • TFA Toasted Almond: Good authentic flavor. Reminds me of that unsalted roasted almond you might get right out of the oven, or if you plucked the almond out of a Hershey Chocolate w/Almonds bar (again; w/o the additional chocolate notes). One of my favorite nut concentrates. Strong flavor; but does not get out of had as fast as Pistachio
    • TFA Pecan: Good authentic flavor. This reminds me most of a pecan eaten straight from the shell... no salt, no candy, caramel, or maple notes to interfere. This is my personal second favorite nut concentrate. Strength is similar to Toasted Almond.
    • TFA Hazelnut: Good flavor; but I am not sure I can call it authentic. Don't get me wrong; I like it and it is a frequent choice when I am looking for a nut accent. I just haven't eaten a hazelnut (candy, cookie, or out of the shell) that tastes like this concentrate. Strength similar to Toasted Almond.
    • TFA DX Hazelnut: Very similar to TFA Hazelnut (but D,A,AP-free). Flavor is virtually the same as the regular version; just a bit drier.
    • TFA Hazelnut Praline: Good flavor; too sweet for my tastes. TFA's regular Hazelnut is easily recognizable in this combo; along with a solid "Brittle" base. The brittle is too sweet for me usually; so I tend to reach for one of the other hazelnuts in my stash.
    • TFA Peanut Butter: This is the only TFA nut concentrate I am not wild about. Reminds me most of a flat uninspired generic peanut butter (vs. a rich, roasty, quality peanut butter). Strength is just a touch weaker than the others.
    • FA Nut Mix: Good nut blend. I get hazelnut, almond, and walnut, along with maybe(?) hints/suggestions of pecan and peanut (at this point; I can't tell if it is really there, or if I am just imagining it:blush:). This can make a good nut "base" to layer an additional "feature" nut on top of.
All of these are quick to make themselves known in recipes; so as secondary/accent notes, I would start at 1%, and then increase as needed. TFA Pistachio is the fastest to get away from me; so treat this one with a little extra respect. I have not tried using any of these as intentional stand-alones (other than brief get-to-know-you testing), so I can't offer any suggestions there.

I like the TFA Toasted Almond, Pecan, Hazelnut/DX Hazelnut, and Pistachio particularly for additions; because they are all one-note concentrates. By which, I mean; they don't try to get cute adding secondary sweet or salty notes, that may not play the best with some recipes. When you need a nut note; you get a nut note... and nothing else.:D

I am still looking for a good walnut, as well as a macadamia nut.

Thank you @IDJoel that was a great review. I’m definitely gonna be getting some TFA Pistachio and treat it with respect. Mainly because I’ll be adding it to my much coveted purilum sweet tobacco. I’m gonna try a few others also.
Thanks to @sk25411, I can’t wait to hear how your pistachio mix turns out. I’ll be hitting the laboratory for some mixing fun and will update if I end up with anything epic.
