I've been out of work for 6 months now, and it's driving me crazy!
When I was laid off, I decided this was my opportunity to follow my true passion, promoting volunteerism and community service for a non-profit. In my last job, I spent almost 10 years doing IT work - I did it well, but my heart just wasn't in it. It killed my soul to imagine doing this work the rest of my career.
After lots of searching and finding nothing, a dream opportunity came available, and I found out today that I'm in the top 2! My third interview (with the organization's CEO) is Monday morning. I'm so nervous, but excited that I could finally have a job that I've only dreamed of before - I don't know how I'm going to get any sleep this weekend!
Any good interview tips? I'm researching this organization like crazy, rehearsing potential questions, getting my killer 'sales pitch' ready. If anything, send some good vibes my way Monday morning - I'll need them!
