Since I got this KFL+ V2 - I think I've spent more time testing different builds than actually vaping on it. Which is a shame, because I probably burned up like 150 / 200 feet of wire already. I did find though during my experiences and coil building tribulations though, that I prefer 28g wire over 30g wire, and 32g wire seems to bring out the best flavor in my opinion. Yet, I can't seem to get the 32g to mold as well as the 28g nor can I get the Ohms I'm looking for without twisting the wire together. My sweet spot is around 1.0 - 1.5 Ohms - I have pulled off a couple of nice .8 & .9 Ohm builds, but I didn't care too much for them. Hey, at least I tried. But that's not the topic of discussion, the topic is the vertical builds being preferred over the horizontal builds. Has anyone besides myself notice some very small differences in the builds? I notice that juices that I couldn't stand to vape become more pleasant and since I prefer warmer clouds over the cooler clouds, the vertical (chimney) coils seem to be spot on. My dream build is a dual coil vertical setup but after wrapping a couple of coils, I realized that maybe the KFL+ isn't the device to do it in. Although I bet that would produce a hotter vape than what I'm getting right now. Probably too hot? I don't know, like I said, if anyone else has experience with the vertical coils and suggestions, I'm all ears and eyes. I doubt I'll ever step foot into the horizontal builds again however. Oh, also note that I've figured out the trick for a really good cotton setup too! Before I would build a cotton "slug" around the coil itself, but now after figuring out that I could gently lift the wire, twist a bit of cotton underneath it, I could get more coil to wick contact and really get the hits I want.

I've found this out recently myself what a coincidence :D, I usually put my vertical coils in an RDA but I think the idea is the same; since most of the surface area isn't facing straight down towards the deck (or in the RBA's case towards the air hole), I'll be willing to bet most of the juice gets vaped/spurted outwards where theres usually more room to turn into vapor with air. I've found what wicking personally works for me is actually wicking through the coil (I usually build micro-coils on 1/16 drill-bit) and having the top tail go right under the drip hole, and the bottom slithering around the deck, and then I put a small cloud to join the two tails to really keep it drenched (on the opposite side of the posts). That way gravity can help feed it, and all of the juice is shot straight outward towards the airflow, rather than shot straight down to be wasted in the deck. And it's not like it takes any extra to make it vertical, if anything there's more build room :p.

A picture would be great. I'm a bit confused on your last sentence with twisting cotton underneath. Thanks
