I was using Goodejuice brand Ice cold menthol 6mg exclusively for the last 10 years, and unfortunately they have gone out of biz recently.

Anyone know a good alternate for this flavor that tastes almost the same? Or a DIY recipe that would be close? Most other ice menthols ive over the years tried taste disgusting to me. Either too chemically, or way too minty.

I have enough goodejuice bottles just to last another 2 years or so but want get moving on a replacement.

thanks

I'm not familiar with Goodejuice. If this is a tobacco menthol, then BlackNote makes a nice one, IMHO.

thanks, its more of an ice menthol, very clean tasting, a little on cold side

which one of these is the one you are suggesting?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The picture seems to suggest that it's mint flavoring with a mentholated/icy feeling with no tobacco flavoring? Very confused if no tobacco given the color. It should be clear if no tobacco. If no tobacco flavor, it should be very easy to DIY something suitable and should not need any "steep" time. You may not get it 100% like the GEJ stuff you've been vaping, but humans are very adaptable animals. Tough times make us even more adaptable, and we have hit tough times in vaping.

Sounds like you are not so much into a strong mint flavor & concerned mostly about the cool effect. A mint flavor (maybe 2 to 4%) and a bit of Koolada should do the trick. But if tobacco flavor is involved, that is another ball game and beyond me.

actually I do recall taking to the owner once and he mentioned there is some tobacco flavoring in it.. whats makes that much harder to DIY? Also the pic i posted bottle is one of the older ones so the juice has a darker tone than fresher bottle

I've never done it as I hate tobacco flavors, but from what I have read over the years, tobaccos are a very personal thing so you have to find the right one for your taste and it may require "steep" time to deduce if you actually like it. But I'm no expert at DIY. I only DIY straight peppermint and sometimes black licorice.

@Badmotorfinger

If you decide to go the DIY route your best bet will be to get a "base" to your liking before adding a tobacco flavor.

A base being, per your description quoted below, of Goodejuice's Ice Cold Menthol, a menthol flavor (and/or a mint, spearmint, peppermint) and a cooling agent (WS-23 or koolada).
its more of an ice menthol, very clean tasting, a little on cold side

Cooling agents. Some people do not like WS-23 and likewise some don't like Koolada. It comes down to personal preference (as with everything in DIY). You will likely want to try both to see which one suits you best.

There are menthol, mint, spearmint and peppermint flavors made by several different companies. Finding the ones that best suit you will take time and patience on your part.

Goodejuice's Ice Cold Menthol could be as simple as a menthol and a cooling agent (WS-23 or Koolada). But, it could also be more complex and use one or more of the following... mint, spearmint, peppermint.

The only way you will know for certain is to start with something very simple as a base (menthol + cooling agent). Try it, if it's to your liking great. If not experiment with adding one of the previously mentioned flavors.

It sounds like you don't like heavily flavored juices. With DIY it is always wise to start low with percents with every flavor. Start too high and you will end up tossing it. By starting low you can always add more flavoring as needed.

One of the best place to purchase flavors, and used by nearly everyone doing DIY on ECF, is Bull City Flavors. Bull City Flavors - Largest Selection & Best Prices on Flavoring

I can't help with tobacco flavors as I do not like those. Bull City Flavors carries many tobaccos. You might want to ask for help with tobaccos in the 'Random DIY mixing and More' thread.

@Badmotorfinger, also, if you go the DIY route you will need to purchase nicotine, VG and PG.

Look at UncleJunkle's signature, where it says, 'List of Nicotine Vendors Here'. Click on the link to find nic for DIY. You will want 100mg nic.

Use this calculator to determine your nic requirements going well into the future. Vaping Community e-liquid Calculator - Vapocalypse Calculator

Time is not on your side when it comes to purchasing nic. It should be your highest priority.

I buy my VG and PG from Bulk Apothecary. They are one of the largest suppliers in the US.

PG: Propylene Glycol

VG: Glycerin

If you are new to DIY then you might want to look at the DIY sub.
DIY E-Liquid

Grab the "DIY information" PDF in the following post. It will help you.: DIY Getting started cheat sheet - good information gathered from ECF

Also visit the Random DIY thread. There are many DIY'ers there and at all levels. Pop in and ask any questions. Everyone is helpful.

I just saw juice named Ice Cold Menthol. It was either on Crumbz or ejuicedb.com
