My girlfriend recently ordered two eGO passthrough (PT) batteries to replace a PT I purchased from Goodprophets about a year or so ago. I myself have purchased numerous products, atomizers, and such from this vendor as their shipping and service was quick and great. I even own a Pro-Vari after visiting their since closed retail location and talking with Rob about the mod he owned.

Well, unfortunately this experience has not been as positive. Somehow, either through my girlfriends error or the vendor, the address for the package was incorrect which resulted in it being shipped back. After she talked with the post office we found that the package was being shipped back, I gave her the contact info to see if she could work out getting this shipped to the correct address. She called twice the first day, the second time due to giving the wrong callback number. The next day she emailed Goodprophets as well as called again. Later today she received an email back from Rob stating her card would be credited back and that she should shop elsewhere.

All of the phone calls and the email simply explained the situation in a civil tone, and a willingness to work out the error to get the shipment to the correct address. I do not understand why not only have they shown terrible customer service, but we also found that I can no longer purchase from their website either due to the IP now being flagged as follows:

"We are sorry. The Internet Protocol (IP) address that your request came from is currently blocked. This typically is a result of suspected fraudulent activity having been detected as originating from the specific IP address, not necessarily from you or your account. Please contact us at your convenience to resolve the issue. Thank you."

What exactly was fraudulent about making a shipping error? I'm sure Goodprophets has made shipping errors before, either by address or incomplete orders, and I'm certain they've taken the time to work out these errors in an effort to provide good customer service... I question why this resulted in such a heavy handed response.

At this point, I am pretty upset that someone I recommended was treated like this as well as now my home IP being banned. The IP ban is rather silly and easy to work around, but on principle I am no longer going to shop with this vendor unless they are willing to work out this issue with a bit more tact.

Thank you,
Tom
