I got a surprise package today in the mail from Hong Kong. A blue iTaste MVP from fasttech!

Wow! What a difference! I was already hooked but this thing brings a whole new layer to the entire experience.

I'm messing with the settings and have tried to find info on what voltage is good and such but I haven't found very many people commenting on their specific number. Is there a info thread somewhere that I might have missed?

Anyone who wants to chime in with their experiences with this lovely little box, I'm all ears :D

The guy who came up with the Safe vaping Power Chart wrote a piece about how to find your juice's "sweet spot" using different voltage settings - Guide to Safe Vaping - E-Cigarette Safety | Ecig Advanced Community Blog

Many vapors take the ohm rating number and add two (2 ohms + 2 = 4 volts) for a good ball park setting. Most vapors like 7 - 8 watts. You should always start low and work up in voltage increments until you begin to detect a burnt taste, then back down in voltage. You'll find certain flavors taste better at different voltages. For example, fruit flavors are sort of fragile and will taste burnt at higher voltage. Other flavors such as tobacco or coffee flavors will taste best at higher voltage.

In the end, the above suggestions are only guidelines. What YOU prefer is what you like, not what others tell you what you should like.

Yeah, for me when I started a similar chart was a lifesaver. I love my mvp, altho it has a weird habit of randomly turning itsself off. I find my comfort zone with vaping is around 7 watts as I prefer a cooler vape, and I use a coil range of 2.2ohm in my kangers, to 2.4ohm in my redux, and soon to be my glass vision vivi's. I also have the iclear 30, and an iclear 16, which I use a 1.5ohm dc in. I find my 555 to taste freaking awesome in the iclear 16, at about 3.7v. I have found tho, oddly enough, some of my niquids lose their flavor in my ic16, like my butter pecan......

Mine has turned itself off a couple of times while I was charging it. I dunno if that's something it's supposed to do or not. The "owners manual" is a little brief.

After looking at the chart that was posted I tuned it to 3.7 and that seems to be doing well. I have a EVOD on it right now. I guess I have to get some additional knowledge about ohm's and volts.

Skip the iClears, Clearomizers, and CE4's-CE6's...get a couple Kanger ProTanks w/beauty ring and adjust the voltage for the juice to your liking!

But anyway, whatever you use, put your juice in, try 3.5, then try 4.5, then adjust to your liking. There is no Bible to what you personally will enjoy. ....just know more PG = more throat hit and more VG = more clouds of vapor and smoothness ;)

I have a blue itazte also, you have good taste ;)

Mine actually turned off during use, does it maybe every few hundred puffs, cant really say for certain tho. As for protanks lol, I have 2 protanks, 1 T3 converted to T3S, 2 redux, 1 Dbox Puritank, 1 T2, 1 UDCT 6ml, and 1 Pyrex Smok vivi, 1 Iclear 16, 1 Iclear 30,and 2 Pyrex Vision Vivi's on the way. 3 plain jane ego batteries, and a black MVP. Oh, and I always use 50/50 niquids from MBV

You can remember all that off the top of your head!? I'm probably putting in an order with Fasttech and a protank or 2 is high on the list. I like the look of the iclear 30 that came with the MVP but I haven't tried it yet.

Being in Nashville, you could also drop by Nashville Vapor,I've heard they are a great shop and very knowledgeable. They carry alot of the higher end gear but should be able to help you with any questions you might have and maybe get a juice taste or ten.

My blue MVP is rarely out of my hand so I just got myself another one in silver and last night I ordered an itaste V3 from Fasttech - so cheap it was rude not to - so that will be my MVP back-up as it's only 800mah. It does have ohms checker and VW though so I thought that was really good for the price of it, and ego threading as well as 510 too. Just play about with the volts as the settings will need to change depending on what you're using. I use the +2 rule too and it always seems to work. I mainly use low resistance so anything from 1.5 to 1.8 on 3.7 volts up to a max of 4.
