I got my first E-cig. I'ts an Ego-T. I bought a few juices from Velvet Vapors. Most seem too sweet for me so far. I like the lime though. I should of tried a tobacco flavor. I did get a menthol one but it tasted more fruity than some of the others. Are there any suggestion on a good menthol juice? Also now that I have my Ego-t is there any accessories I should get. I only have the things that came in the startup pack. It is the type-A. The tanks seem to leak some. Especially the one that is half full.

1. Search "Cignot Vicky ego-t cleaning" on YouTube for some great videos on adjusting and cleaning. I find that most either leak or give dry hits (dirty, burnt flavor) until you adjust them. It can be a bit of a pain, but it's worth it. The leaking has to do with the wick; how far into the tank or how far away from the coil. Learn to adjust, and you'll be happy. Unfortunately, most of these devices take a little tweaking to work properly... that's the nature of the cottage industry! If you find anything that works well, all the time, without any adjusting, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

2. Get the Type Bs. Electrically, they're the same (same size coil, same resistance (ohms)), but for some reason I and many others simply feel like it's a better experience.

3. Get extra tanks. They're cheap ($5-7 for a five pack). It's so much easier to load tanks once every few days than every time one runs dry.

4. If the tanks you got came with hard plastic end caps, the part that gets poked, get the silicon/rubber ones. They're $1-2 for a five pack. Get enough to put them on all your tanks. It hugs the spike better and leaks less.

Once you get all that down, there are a few things you might want, though definitely not necessary. I like to use the USB Ego battery. Gives the option to use it as a passthrough, and it will charge with any standard mini-USB cable. Cignot has big ones (1000mah) for something like $22. Or I use a big mod with a 510-eGo adapter, available lots of places for $3-5. Well worth the money if you want a mod. I use many batteries, but only eGo-T Type B attys.

Welcome aboard! Hope that helps!

The ego t takes a while to break in my friend. It took about 4-7 days before it vaped well. Try not to do an adjustment on your wick yet. It is for a more advanced user. Make sure you clip that little piece of plastic from the lid of the tank and fill your tanks with a syringe(18gauge needle) through the small hole in the tank that was punctured after the 1st fill. The first thing for any Ego T buyer is to buy an original Ego T made by Joye(mine had 1 small leak prob...my mistake). Do not vape your tanks dry and fill them about 90%. I have been using mine for close to 3 months(1000mah Batts) and have been problem free since the first week I owned it.
Others will chime in and let you know of other 510 parts that can be purchased as a different kind of vape via CE2s carto etc. The ego batteries are a 510 thread. The soft caps will probably be harder to draw from. That was my experience in the 1 tank that I used it on. I use my original tanks and tried the 1 soft cap only once.
Cheers and GL with your new PV.

So far it seems like only one of the tanks leak bad, but thats the one that I used the most so I will see after a while with this new one on. Too bad the one that leaked was the flavor that I liked, I don't really want to dump any of the other tanks out just for that. I filled mine by taking the plastic at the end off and then filling it up with the dropper on the juice bottle and then snapping the plastic cap back on. I didn't use a syringe. Thats how I seen it done on a youtube video. Could that be why it leaks?

just got my ego-t starter kit a few days ago. strangely one on the attys will only work with one of the batteries but not the other. the other atty works fine with either of the batteries. I am perplexed

Was it an original Joye Ego T Type A or a knockoff? Some knockoffs are like that. They are usually cheaper in price.

The type B is a PV I've not tried, but some have had leaking probs and the soft cap has stopped some leaks.

The eGo-T attys tend to be of lower resistance (I've never gotten one over 2.2 ohms) so 6V would fry them pretty quickly. At that resistance, I'm thinking you should be topping out at about 4.5V or so safely...

The wick adjustment is a bit advanced, so I would avoid it until things get bad... You'll get all kinds of conflicting opinions on soaking the atty in vodka, hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol... I've found it isn't terribly necessary. I like the dry burn, and many people are vehemently against it... Just work with it until you find what works for you. Just know that if you use isopropyl alcohol that you should give them several days to dry, as there is an inhalation risk with isopropyl. I use it to clean tanks, but not attys.

I do have to strongly recommend the silicon caps... I can't imagine any way they can CAUSE leaking (thinking something else may be to blame if one experience with them accompanied a leak). They allow a perfect hole, unlike the hard plastic ones, and they're easily removed/replaced, eliminating the need for a syringe.

If you've learned nothing else, know that something different works for everyone. There are so many moving parts that will affect your experience, it's difficult to find what works for you. Even your liquid can be to blame for leaks or dry hits, as they vary widely in viscosity, which has a huge impact on wicking with the eGo-t. I can only offer my experience, and I wish you the best in finding that vaping sweet spot! It took me about 3 months to settle on equipment...

I just got the boge cartos in. They work really good and I got a syringe with it so its easy to fill. I still like the tanks, but I can feel a better hit with the cartomizer and I think I get a little more flavor so thanks madjack for the tip. I figured they would of been too complicated to mess with. I'm not even a smoker I'm getting all this stuff for my wife, but I've been using it quite a bit since the starter pack comes with 2 of them. I had to start leaving the 2nd one at home when I go to work so I don't get too addicted. Plus I bought them for her in pink so it might look a little goofy to the guys who don't know me.
