Got a Plume Veil

So my friend gave me his Plume Veil rda, how can I check to see if it is authentic? Its branded Aethertech, and has their logo on it, with a serial number on the bottom.

What does it matter if it is or isnt. Chances are its a clone if he just gave it to you, unless he can afford to just give away $125.

1:1 clones are sometimes copied so well you wont be able to tell unless you bought it yourself from a repubitable vendor.

It matters because I want to sell it and buy a troll or a doge v2, and I don't want to cheat someone, or be cheated. My friend has confirmed that it is authentic. I have sent an email to aethertech to inquire a bit further just in case.
