I was looking for a portable e-cig like the volcano with easy to refill cartos and that looks like an attractive analog. Any suggestions?

eGo/Riva are the smallest pv's i know about worth their weight in E-juice.
Though any Joye brand/rebranded 510 slim should do the trick.

I would do the 510 slims so use dont have to buy different carto'z, just get a couple of batt's, you already have the charger from your riva ( I think it fits, if not there $4 for a new charger). You can get a couple of batts from Liberty Flights for 21$ for 2 and yer all set. The carto'z from the riva 510 will fit. Cheap, portable, looks like an analog. I may do the samething and ditch my kr-808 so I only have to buy 510 threaded equipment.

I know the Riva can handle LR cartos, but do you need a HV cartos for the 510?

Don't get the Volcano Volcano - a weak choice. Volcano's Magma (a 510) would be OK and I strongly recommend manual. Or get a plain manual Joye 510 elsewhere and this PCC Smart PCC Charger 510 Ecigcharleston.com in Charleston South Carolina .
I recommend 3 ohm Boge cartos on slim 510 and niteliteVapor.us has tan and white in addition to black in case you really think you want it to look like a cigarette (I don't - I use black 510 and black Boges)
What you cannot do with the slim 510:
a. cannot charge it on the Riva charger because Riva charger is over 400mA output and can damage slim 510's so I label my Riva chargers on both sides right where the battery screws in so I don't accidentally put a slim 510 battery in it
b. cannot use the LR atomizers or cartomizers that come with Riva 510. Slim ecigs need to use stuff 2.5 to 3 ohms, not lower

How about: c. can't get nearly as good of a vape. You left the important information out.
And I agree with several of the other posters: how is a Riva not portable?? It can't be that you are concerned what other people think...right?
Having recently gone through this same ordeal, I'd loosely suggest a 510 XL slim and PCC. It's a longer battery - 340mah.
BUT, even if you do get this or something similar, I'm pretty sure you'll eventually make the Riva portable. After 2 days with an ego, my 510-t already stays at home.

I know what you mean, I love my Riva and dont' even mind taking it out in public but wanted a once in a while smaller unit as well. Thankfully my bf has the Kanger KR808D-1, so I just ordered an extra 808 battery and use his carts and charger. I really like both.
