Got everything...now having an issue

Alright I got my stuff the other day and I'm loving the flavors...not digging the throat hit.

I got 4 1300mah ego batteries w/ce 4 (?) Clearomizers 4 mini vivi nova from fasttech 2 protanks OTW: 2 Evods

I'm not a huge fan of the protank, hardly any vapor and not much flavor (got a pack of evod heads to try) it also leaks a bit.

The vivi I'm loving the vapor produced. The CE are somewhere in between the 2.

Now for the eliquid, all are from MBV:
Made on 5/30:
Hawk sauce 80/20 18mg/ml- love the taste
Moo juice 80/20 18mg/ml- like the taste
Ocean breeze- 65/35 18mg/ml- smoother, a little too much banana
Blue moo- 80/20 18mg/ml- too harsh, but love the flavor
Double apple- 80/20 18mg/ml- too harsh, like the flavor
Caramel candy- 80/20 18mg/ml- haven't tried yet
American tobacco- 65/35 18mg/ml- for hubby

Made on 6/4
Freckled lemonade-80/20 18mg/ml- love the flavor
Sticky bun- 80/20 18mg/ml- not sure, too harsh
Red, white, & blue- 80/20 18mg/ml- haven't tried yet
Black clove- 80/20 12mg/ml- have 2 as freebies, haven't tried

When I make my next order should I try 50/50? My hubby loves a strong throat hit so I'm sure he will like all the ones I got so far, I'm not liking it though...I want something really smooth, but lots of flavor. That is my biggest issue with analogs, I don't like the throat hit (now that I know what it is called).

Just something I found out with the two new Protanks I got. They didn't screw the heads down all the way. I almost flipped when the first wouldn't fire on my eGo battery after firing fine on my ZMAX.

So, if yours are leaking, just make sure the heads are screwed in all the way if you haven't already.

Also, yes, try a 50/50. More vapor, less throat hit. Also, lower nic level might help with TH, but I would dry just changing the pg/vg ratio first.

GREAT ADVICE...I just figured this out yesterday myself! My Protank wasn't pulling, so I unscrewed it and realized it just needed to be tightened a bit. Made all the difference

Sounds like a good haul. Increasing the amount of VG will dampen some of the throat hit but also some of the flavour. Decreasing the amount of nicotine will reduce throat hit and won't weaken the flavour (though the nicotine itself does add a spicy note). It might be worth adding some 12 mg/ml to your next order. The big question is going to be whether that will satisfy your nicotine cravings. How is that going? Do you find the 18 does the trick?

The 18mg is actually making me a bit shaky, I was thinking of at least 1 bottle where I do 50/50 & 12mg and 1 50/50 18mg to see what works best.

Sometimes it's difficult to tell if you're getting too much or too little nicotine because the symptoms are similar. If you're pretty sure that 18 is making you twitch, and you don't like the throat hit it gives you, I would say proceed directly to 12. You could even consider throwing in a 6 just to see how you like it. 6 can be mixed with 18 to make 12, so it won't be a waste if you decide it's too weak.

For the pg/vg, it's more important to get a nicotine level that you feel comfortable with, unless you think you might have an allergy to pg. I would also add that it's a great idea to keep some higher nicotine liquid around for times of stress, but if that's hubby's choice, it should be no problem.

Protanks work great but do leave a bit of liquid on the battery contact allot of times. If its leaking on the outside contact the vendor and get it replaced. As for not much vapor on them are you using variable voltage batteries like a twist or spinner? If not you will need to use the 1.8ohm heads for them or they won't work well. As for the vivi minis I love them aswell

The protank is just leaving liquid on the battery, it is a fixed voltage (so 3.7ish). I will give the 1.8ohm head that came in the kit a try and see if that is any better.

It happens all the time and with different clearomizers, not just the protank. Unless it starts to leak excessively it's not a big problem. Just rip off a small piece of tissue, roll it up and wipe down the contact before you put the battery on the charger.

50/50 or something like 20/80 juice sounds about right for you, just be weary that it might cause buildup in clearomizers, it won't ruin them right away but I recommend cleaning the clearo's out every 2-4 fills, doing a dry burn, and then proceeding to vape.

I almost exclusively use clearo's atm, any questions feel free to ask.

Overall it sounds like you got a great setup to start! I certainly didn't go that hard into it when i first started, but i certainly wish I did!

I get the 70 vg / 30 distilled H2O from MBV and like it. The water thins out the vg some, and it could be a decent carrier for flavor with many flavorings being water soluble. I do, however, get the max (5 extra shots) of flavoring to compensate the heavier vg percentage. Vaping with the 70 vg / 30 h2o is nice and smooth with good amounts of vapor. I'm like you, I don't like the heavier pg juices and the TH harshness.

Also, Velvet Cloud Vapors only sells vg based juices, and because they only do vg based, they know how to get the flavor proportion right. I have three juices from them and really like them (monkey business, wild cherry, and harvest berry).
