It is sweet, but not butterscotch or sugary sweet - it reminds me slightly of regular Ovaltine, if you've ever had that. I usually prefer to drip, but LOVE it on a cart - it fills your house or car with this indescribably wonderful scent, but it's very hard for me to explain, which I think is kind of funny - I mean, we should "know" how to describe it based on what it's supposed to be, but somehow I just can't quite.

here's my review (not super helpful because it says the same thing, among others, BUT, it's a 3 page thread, so maybe someone else mentioned something else that would help you narrow down if it's for you: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-liquid-reviews/131014-backwoods-brew-malty-toffee.html)

You sold me. I'm going to try it. I drip sometimes but mainly use a cart. Also I do most certainly remember Ovaltine. I think I'll try the Peach also. Teetering on ordering more Applewood but should wait til mine steeps cause it's weak and perfumy now. Maybe I'll hold off a few days to see if the Malty straightens out.

I have found that almost all of Don's juices need to age. I just reviewed his Maple Tobacco, and at almost a month old this juice did a complete 180 on me. I love it. Didn't make much of an impression before. You need to put your BWB juice away and revisit it weekly until it's ready. This is more true of BWB than any vendor I can think of. His juice will really surprise you when it matures.

When I first bought BWB juices I didn't like them at all. Couldn't believe all the people that liked the juices. I put them away and went back to my DIY juice. Then two days into my 0mg nicotine I was so depressed and wanted a throat hit so badlyyyy.

I say BWB RY4 up in my cabinet and went like "oh yeah; I forgot about it." God was it good a week later. Went to bed a happy camper, and now probably about 6 weeks nic free and addicted to RY4 and his Hunters Blend. RY4 is a different type of vanilla spicey hit. Hunters Blend most reminds me of an analog with layers of flavor and the plumes remind me of a cigarette. Taste too.

Cigarette free. Nicotine Free. Now I'm going to try and just buy RY4, Hunters Blend and call it a day. Have tried so many other vendors. All the popular ones comparing always to BWB. Which is why I'm settling for two BWB eliquids predominantly, thus, saving the money that was also intended when starting this. I use easily 60-80mls monthly. Like a binky in my mouth..

Maybe sticking to my finally two favorite flavors I can put my binky down and gradually pick up using 1mls daily or less. Always having it around for those bad days of course... Read my forum posts for the one I explained on how I quit nicotine. I cheated and it worked great. Day and a half your off nicotine. First day sucks tho I'll own to that one. After that it's a piece of cake. Just keep vaping that 0mg. And your really free.

Don't know what I would do if not for RY4 BWB strong flavor with a vanilla spicey throat hit. My new addiction...

Agreed, got my first order on 11-11 and dated the bottles, tried them weekly at 4 weeks they are blow your socks off perfect yum. Just reordered and can now plan my orders based on steep time, they are worth it.

Should I assume that it will be about a month for the flavor to come out?

I have placed a few orders from three different vendors and was really happy with the quality and taste (compared to the Chinese stuff I had been using).

I placed a fairly large order with BWB after reading all of the good reviews, but nothing taste good to me.

All of the bottles are dated 12/7. The Malty, Dulce De Leche, Hunters Blend and Maple tobacco have absolutely no taste to me other than a bit of what taste like an artificial sweetener.

The 555 and Applewood have a very faint taste, as well as the Blast, which tastes like a cinnamon toothpick that’s lost most of its flavor.

The strongest taste comes from the Casablanca, but it just taste like weeds (dandelion) to me.

I've tried dripping and carts, but it's the same for me.

Is there something wrong or just a matter of timing? I just can't imagine any flavor developing in the next couple of weeks.

I find only two vendors juice really needs to wait 2-3 weeks after receiving for the flavors to marry and the juice to show you what it's got. I don't know why these two vendors juices are like that, because no other juice I ever had acts that way. That said, those two vendors are two of my personal favorites, Backwoods and Halo. Awesome juice, uncap it, give it a sample, then put it away and sample weekly until it opens your eyes. Great stuff.

I've run into the same problem with the Casablanca, when I first got it, the flavor was pretty good and really came through, after about a couple weeks it seems to have washed out. The RY4 mellowed quite a bit but still retains the tobacco flavor. I made the mistake of mixing the Casablanca and the RY4 thinking it would up the Casablanca but instead downed the RY4. I'm not sure what is wrong either. The RY4 is still my favorite vape and will be getting the hunters blend in a few days. I have noticed this kind of thing with other vendors flavors as well. Still, Don has the best tobaccos I have found so far and will continue to get the RY4 and Hunters blend when they are in stock.
