okay I received my kit today and now have both batteries charged and should be ready to go. My question is, when you are not using the unit, should you disconnect the battery? The lil storage case that came with it won't fit the unit in it's lttle cutouts when it is whole. Wondered if that would save battery life by disconnecting when not in use? Another question...I keep reading about mods..Is there a link to read about these mods? Thank you in advance, Bryan :)

Disconnecting your battery from the atty will not affect the battery life but I personally recommend disconnecting it from the battery just prevent any possible PG dripping from the atty to the battery. Better be safe than sorry.

Good idea for autos but not 510's where the battery is sealed.
