I got my Joye 510C today, from dietsmokes.com. I am pretty impressed! I could get used to this. It's not exactly like smoking a cigarette... but then it's not exactly NOT like smoking a cigarette, either.

I've noticed that after smoking a few puffs from the 510, I feel like I have smoked a cigarette, and I don't really crave one.

What a LIFE SAVER this is going to be for me. I'm 38 years old (almost 39) and have been smoking since I was 11 years old... so I've been a smoker for 28 years. Wow, where has the time gone.

I usually smoke(d) 2.5 to 3 packs a day, and though I never saw a doctor about it, I feel that within the past year I've developed the first signs of emphysema. In the mornings my lungs are so full of phlegm, I usually spend the first 10 minutes awake just coughing like mad, trying to clear my lungs and throat... and then of course, the first thing I do (or did) is light up.

I want to thank everyone on this forum who has helped me over the past few days, in deciding on which PV is right for me, as well as all the advice on how to go about this the correct way. This is such a great community, and I'm proud to be a new member!

I have a carton of regular smokes left. I've decided to smoke them rather than waste them. I figure I paid an arm and a leg for them, so I might as well get my money's worth out of them.

But I know deep in my heart that I'll never buy another cigarette. I have my 510, and I'll be smoking it once in a while as I finish this last carton of analogs, so that when the time comes, I'll already be used to the 510.

I'm so excited. I'm actually going to quit smoking in a few days, with full confidence that the 510 will keep me from having withdrawal symptoms.

I will post here when I've smoked my last analog. I am SO excited!!!

Thanks again, everyone.

Where does one get the smoke-free banner for the siggy?

Just click on the banner and it takes you to where you can make one.

Welcome aboard. I have 510s and 801s and if I have any choice at all I will never go back to analogs :). After 40 years of tobacco I *finally* find something that works and is presumably much better for me :).

Next is to exchange my 901 for one that works :) and get a 401 and then I think I can stop. Interestingly, even with getting lots of these things, I am still ahead of what I would have spent on analogs :).

Made a passthrough out of an 801 battery tonight and that is really nice, not quite the vape of a 510 but close and I don't have to keep swapping batteries :).

Good choice on vendor, there are a few of those :), Parker takes good care of you even if he is a bit slow on the comms at times.

I am only on day 3. Here is how I am looking at it, I needed to change brands, due to taxes and price increase. I would have had to go to a stanky cheaper brand than the generics i allready smoked. So, I changed brands. It's working so far.

good luck

Do you know if there is a usb passthrough available for the 510? I'd sure like to get one.

No, I don't, sorry.

Reasonably easy to make one I think. Only problem with making the one for the 801 was getting the switch down the barrel and positioned.

There was one other, I stabilized the wire coming out with a hot glue seal (forgot to put the heat shrink on before I soldered everything together :-(. Tried to drill a small hole for airflow and the drill caught the wire and pulled everything apart. Got to have some airflow to get a decent draw. What I should have done was to use the soldering iron to melt a small hole in the hot glue :-/. Will rebuild it again today, nice not having to switch batteries every few hours.

Going to give the 510 a go by scrapping one of the very hot and long running batteries. I'll take pix this time and post them when done.

I have been using the joye 510 for about a week now and i have to say that this is currently THE best e-cig in the market right now.

I own the m402(evo), 901 (TW) and a smoking everywhere one. These are basically all the models of e-cigs right now for the exception of the pen styles.

I used to be a firm believer of the 901 with a passthrough, but after vaping the 510....it creates more throat hit and more vapor than my 901 with a passthrough...and that was with a really good atomizer.

The only problems i have had with the 510 is that when you drip onto the atom. it leaks. But carrying a piece of towel paper solves that problem.

Now i have to see how long will this 510 atomizer last me.

One of the reasons i still smoked analogs when outside of home was because vapor production on the EVO was negligible when we took wind into consideration. So it really only looked like you were constantly sucking on a pen or something.

The 901 i couldnt even consider vaping it outside of home because of the super weak battery life. Battery life on the 510 lasts much more.

All i need now is for joye or another manufacturer to create a usb passthrough for it.
