Got my A7, built my first coil, and it worked!

Boiled that oil off there first... there was indeed a LOT and it smelled NASTY.

Made a coil with 30 AWG Kanthal, measured at 1.45Ω, threaded some twisted up organic cottonball material through for a wick.

Added carto condom slivers around the wobbly center screw for short prevention, screwed it in, primed and squonked, and it works!

Not bad for first time!

I think I need to adjust the coil's position a little though... it's not getting soaked enough on squonks.

But I think I'm going to like this brave new world!

Adjusted it a little, it's now working like a champ. This isn't as hard as I thought it would be!

Oh, that was just careful framing... it's a complete fire hazard on either side of that pic!

Well, yours looks great. I tried to do one on a Reomizer, and lost one of the screws, so I'm done now.
