My second attempt to build my new Aga T2 is a huge success.

My first attempt was with silica and boy what a mess that was.

My second attempt today was with the mesh. I used a technique that somebody shared with me here at ECF about putting a drill bit through the wicking hole, then wrapping the wire around it to make a coil, then feeding the wire through the lead, and then merely pulling the drill bit out leaving a coil perfectly placed right over the hole, then simply feeding the mesh wick through it.

It worked like a charm, only took me two tries.

It's vaping fabulously. No silica taste to it. Packs a wallop. The nicotine goes straight to my head so I have to be careful about not overdoing it.

I feel like I graduated rebuilding 101 and am now going on to more advanced rebuilding classes.

How long will this coil and wick last do you think?

Can I keep putting other flavors in when this one is gone or will I have to rewick it?

Can I wash out the tank without recoiling / wicking it?

Any further information you can supply now that I've successfully built a mesh wick to help me keep it running will be most appreciated.

I feel good, dadadadadadada, you know that I should yeah!!

mesh builds last pretty damn long, just dry burn it, that will also take care of your juice changing. You can just use a syringe to suck the juice out and then use it to flush it with water a few times, dry burn to evaporate the residual water off the wick, then fill it again with new juice. Also, congrats on getting that damn aga t2 to work properly, I gave up on mine, not because of the builds (which were problematic at times) but because of the damn glass tanks that were so badly made that juice would leak out, never bothered ordering a new tank.

on mesh/ geni's I usually do a quick dry burn to clean the junk off the coil, then hold the atty over the sink upside down while using a syringe in the fill hole to force water through the wick a couple times, bam done good for another week.

in most cases i end up dirkin with it and messing up the coil before anything ever actually wears out, even then when I recoil I usually just flip the wick over and keep going for several more weeks.

Thanks man. I don't see any leakage in mine. With the rubber grommets at the ends I don't see how it could leak.

Here's a tip of my own about juice leaking out the pin hole at the bottom into your gear. Empire Mods has a 510 to 510 adapter. It's made to use 510s with their drip shields but it also works as a buffer between your tank and your battery, so that any leakage coming out of the bottom will go into the adapter and not on your equipment. I just ordered two more of them today. They're only three bucks.

Please define "pretty damn long" though, LOL

Pretty damn long for me would be like a month or two before I just had a need to rebuild it, not actually needing one lol I think you'll see for yourself what I'm talking about. Oh, and my glass tanks were uneven so they didn't make proper contact with the o-rings, if yours is fine, don't worry about it.

A month or two? Right on!! That beats a Kanger head any day of the week. Those things last about three days.

Congrats man! The Aga can be a harsh mistress.

It should indeed last you a very long time with the occasional dry burn as already posted. If I don't feel like doing the whole wash / dry burn to change flavors, I drain the tank and run a little PG through it. Just putting a ML or so in there, giving it a few pulses and drain out the remaining PG. The better solution, however, is to get more gennies. Lots of lovely pretty gennies. ;)

So when you put the pg in and pulse it, it will suck up the pg without even vaping it?

Also, does seem the air hole in the top cap could be a bit larger. It's a very hard pull. I already took out one of the screws from the atty. What size drill bit would anyone recommend to make the hole in the top cap larger?

Ye I hold it horizontally and hold the button a couple of seconds... and repeat a few times. Not extremely necessary, but it works for me. No big deal if you just flush it out like the others say.

I actually never drilled out mine. I spun a small, round file in the air hole. And/or rolled some sandpaper on a needle and worked that in there. Somewhere between 1.2mm and 1.5mm seems to be most popular. Very much a matter of preference. Needless to say; try the smaller sizes first :)

Thanks, maybe I'll just poke a thin nail through there first just to see if I can widen it just a tad.

Oh yeah...the drillbit method works perfectly almost every time! (my stuff always works most of the time :D )

Congrats...and the flavor from genesis style RBA's is unparalleled!

I have found that after a tank or two when no longer wiping with paper towel or spinning it works. Gently unscrew from the coil, hold with needle nose in the flame on the stove and burn the old nasty juice out until it glows red, let cool, reassemble...vapes like brand new! (make sure you dry burn the coils [to get the old nasty juice/carbon off of em, use the drillbit in case they move but they shouldn't] and re-check your resistance)

I have found the coils outlast the juice...juice will get dark, vape down till it's almost completely gone, I almost think you can take out the wick, put in drill bit, loosen the deck screw and positive screw, remove the coils, disassemble then rinse out, and put back together, I usually rebuilt the coil but I think you can save it

Do you twist your wires or use single wire?

I just used the single nichrome wire that came with the tank. I ran out of kanthal the other day when i attempted to wick it with silica and made a big mess out of it.

Struggling with a T2 myself at the moment. Care to post pics of your setup?

I'll try to post a picture later. It's nothing special though. Just very standard four wraps around the wick. It's not the most perfect build but it's only my second mesh attempt and it's vaping so I call it a huge success. I had to wrap the wick a bit too tight because I didn't have the right size drill bit to make the coil so it was smaller than it should have been, therefore there isn't a whole lot of hollow to the wick which I think is stunting the vape a little, that and too small of an air hole in the top cap. But with some lung power it vapes like a charm, lol.
