plugged it into the computer, push the button....and nothing. No light, no nothing. The red light is on, which I assume means it's charging. Tried it in my usb hub, and now directly into the computer. Still nada.

Does it have to charge first, and I'm being a dumb a--? Probably. But if not, someone let me know if this is normal, please?

I didn't know there was a 1k passthrough, I thought they were only 650. It may need to charge first. If after charged, (you will know this because it will be plugged in but no red light) it still does not work, it may either be doa, or the contact pin, the gold circle in the middle is pushed in too far. take a knife or paper clip and GENTLY edge it upward, then try putting on your carto or addy and attempting again.

what voltage do these run at? are they still the same as a regular ego or are they 5V when plugged in? im guessing they are still the same but im not sure.

ive also seen a few 1000mah PTs. i know cignot has them.

You are running off the battery. Plugging it just allows you to recharge while vaping.

Oh, I'm gonna kill my cat...she knocked my NEW just got it two days ago passthrough off my desk, and now it won't work.
Good news is that I emailed Cignot and they're getting another one in the mail to me!!! I'm going to go brag on them in the suppliers forum, but man, they're awesome!

i also bragged about them in the suppliers forum (i believe your thread) i also had a bat go bad on me i had bought from cignot and just like you she sent on out to me in the mail the NEXT day with an envelope to return the bad bat. you really cant get any better than that. cignot is my go to vendor for ego stuff and if they had the other parts i used i would buy them there as well.

i really want to pick up one of the PTs now. it would be nice to charge while using it. i should have known the answer to the voltage thing i dont know what i was thinking. must have been a long night.

The 1000mah batteries are the same as the 650mah batteries just higher capacity . More fuel in the tank so to speak .

yes. the 1000mahs are just longer. my wife actually likes the 650mahs for this reason but i use the 1000mahs 90% of the time. i do like the 650s when im going out and want something smaller to throw in my pocket.
