Got My Joye 510 Today!

I was pleased to have the starter kit come so quickly from Cignot, especially with the weather we are having here in VA!
My boyfriend and I were able to vape immediately, but I remembered that I should blow out the cartridges and add my own juice first. I'm not particularly crazy about the taste (RYO I think?) and I admit I miss the little bit of hit smoke from the Carltons, but I am dedicated to trying this.

I think the best part about this is that I have 3 freinds that I have convinced to begin vaping with me. My neighbor recieved his e-cigarette today, as well. I sat his wife down to help her order a 510 like mine, so we'll all be on board. I think we have a plan!

Grats!! i ordered a 510 kit from Cignot for my parents Tuesday they received it Friday. I'm impressed with Cignots promptness. I also ordered myself a 510 pass through from Indyvaporshop and some 36 mg 555 juice and WOW I'm love it to.

My wife and I both smoke (well, I just my PV today too, so I guess I'm now a non-smoker), and she's going to try 510, and if she likes it we'll get her one or perhaps another model, and then I'll have a flesh and blood partner for vaping.

Usually it's blow out the atomizer and rinse the cart. You may still be tasting the atty primer.

I would LOVE to have people around me that vaped. Right now I only have my oldest son. Everyone still smokes My docs say that they have gotten others to switch because of me but I dont' know any of them.

My wife was very skeptical of the whole thing but has now confiscated my 510 for herself! Luckily I have an M402 to hold me over until the new 510 gets here.

The M series is pretty good too. I bought at 401 a couple of months back because I kept hearing about "dipping" and thought I would try it. Turned out that I really liked the carts for it and I use it a lot for stealth vaping when I need to.

Thank so much, everybody! This is such a great forum for support and information. Yes, I am lucky to have others to Vape with. My neighbor was ready to take the plunge and did something called "smoker savior" but I think he wishes he had done the research like I was able to do here.

Reading more info, it looks like I need to buy some extra atties for my new flavors that I've ordered. Do any of these flavors really have a taste?

Wireguy, I think I was blowing up the wrong alley! No wonder my cheeks were killing me! Should I stll go ahead and rinse the cartridge, I wonder? I've rejuiced several times, and blown out the atty, but it's still got kind of a sickly sweet taste. I'm looking forward to trying something else, for sure!

Yep, you gotta get rid of the primer / preservative taste somehow!

Everclear, 100 proof Vodka, 151 proof Rum, etc.
I also use 91% Isopropyl Alcohol (WalMart) to start off with & also for routine maintainence.

Don't be at all afraid to try some non-tobacco flavors! I smoked Marlboros, but I'm amazed how great English Toffee tastes. At first, I thought the flavors sounded kinda hokey 8-o, but I like a little Pepsi flavor mixed in with the Marlboro better than Marlboro straight.

I've got 50% isopropyl alcohol, and some barcardi gold Peurto Rican rum. Will these work? And if so... do I just remove the filler from the cart, swoosh it in the cleanser, and dry it? Sorry if I sound dense, but obviously I've read about this before, and still got it wrong. I think I'll post this back at the noobs forum, as well, in case I get lost in here somehow..

Ry4 is very sweet at least to my taste. I love it though, in fact it was the first bottle from cignot that I finnished off it was the ry4 26mg vg. If you really can't stand it you can send it to me!!!!! I was a kool smoker for over 20 years and I don't really care for the methol flavors I have tried. I think I like the apple the best right now.

Cool about your friends getting into it as well, have fun, I'm sure you will find what works for you.

Ok, let's see ... ah, No on the regular rubbing alcohol. On the cartridge, pull out the filler, wash the filler & the cartidge case in hot water and dish liquid, rinse really good in hot water. Put the filler in a shot glass and fill it with Bacardi 151 or Ron Rico Purple Label 151 and work it around with a swizzle stick or something. Take out the filler & squeeze it in a paper towel and dry it completely (dampness makes it sizzle).

Take a good look in the shot glass & if there are not too many particles in the bottom, use the 151 for its intended medicinal purpose.

This works on the atty, too. Repeat as necessary!

Dripping is just one techinque vapers use. It can be explained in the link that Jo posted above.

However, you don't HAVE to drip. Most people drip because you got a lot more flavor and throat hit when you do it. The downside being that you are constantly having to drop your liquid into your atty everytime you feel like vaping.

For now, your alternative will be to take the cartridges that came with your new 510 and if they are already filled, just pop them into your atty and connect the battery & you are good to go. If they are blank cartridges, then you'll want to fill them with your e-juice (if you don't have some, get some -- probably a sample pack of small bottles of various flavore so you can get to know what you like).

You can fill them the easiest way by just dropping drops into the top of the cart (where the filler is exposed) until it looks "slushy"...but don't let it "pool" up. If it does, then just take a paper towel and dab it until the "pool" is gone. At this point it is a good idea to drop 1 or 2 drops onto your atomizer also (although you don't have to)...connect it to your battery...and you are good to go!

Now if you are anything like the rest of us, this will seem like the best thing since sliced bread at first. But after a day or 2 you'll start to realize that you are constantly having to drop 1-3 drops into your cart after only about 10 or so drags. This is called "topping up", and you'll find yourself doing it so much that it is annoying. That is when you'll either decide to start dripping, or you'll go though the hell we all have in trying to find that perfect "cart mod" (which is different modifications of cartridges we all try to get more liquid out of our cart -- Cartridge Mods - E-Cigarette Forum ).

So, you'll either find some weird cart mod that you'll love...decide to start dripping...or go to cartos. It's a transformation I am currently finding myself going through now.
