First off, hello and thank you to anyone who may reply to this post. So I ordered a kit last week, BEFORE I stumbled upon this forum. I thought I had done sufficient research until I found all the info on this site. So now I am full of questions and just need to be pointed in the right direction.

The kit I ordered was the safecig. I found this to have very positive reviews on many other sites, now however; I feel alot of those sites were kinda "unexperienced" in comparison to what I've read here. Don't get me wrong, I love it so far, battery seems good, 1 atomizer has lasted more than 1 day (30 a day analog smoker) and great vapor production, throat hit etc..

So I am confused with what I can actually do with the kit I've got. I believe the the model is the m401, and I assume the battery is auto (although I don't understand the concept of a manual battery yet) Its a 2 piece system thats uses atomizers instead of cartomizers? (I believe, sorry for being so noobish). So can I get into all this juice to save money and try new flavors and all that, or I am screwed with the kit I've got? I was kinda under the assumption everyone ordered refills (atomizers) from their vendors and that was that. No ones fault but my own if this is the case but I really didnt know there was this much info and selection regarding ecigs..WOW. So if someone could provide some answers or links I can do the work myself, just need to know where to look. Thanks so much, this seems like such a great forum full of positive reinforcement, 2 days smoke free and super pumped! Thank You:2cool:

Hi~ If your unit is 2 piece, it probably doesn't use an atomizer and consists of a battery(piece 1) and cartomizer(piece 2 which is an atomizer & cartridge in one vs a 3 piece unit using battery, atomizer and cartrigdge). I don't know anything about your particular pv, but most cartridges and cartomizers can be refilled with your own juice.

A manual battery has a button to activate the unit vs an automatic activating upon you drawing air through it. ;)

hello. first- the atomizer is actually the heating element if you are using a three piece system. they last from a couple weeks to months. What i think you are referring to is the cartridge. you should be able to fill this up. if it's a cartomizer, then you are using a two piece system. there are refillable cartomizers out there. you just by e juice from a supplier. i would recomend watching a you tube video specific to your kit type. a manual battery just has a button on it that you press until you are done vaping. the atvantage is there is no hole in it, so you can't ruin it by getting juice into the unit. for better battery life you can upgrade to a joye ego system for about 50.00. good luck :)

ya what b-rad said :)

Ok well It is a 2 piece system, but I order atomized refills from their site, thats where I may have been confused. After reviewing the site it says the atomizers are built into every cartridge, so is that considered a cartomizer? (atomizer+ cartridge=cartomizer?) So i assume the battery is always reusable just find cartridges that are compatible correct?

Don't forget you can also refill cartomizers. Although they are more "disposable" than atomizers, they are still reusable. So just because you have cartomizers doesn't mean you have to order prefilled from your vendor. I don't know how difficult it is to refill m401 cartos, it varies from needing a syringe to just popping off a cap depending on the model. Don't feel bad about being noobish, I still am and I got my first pv almost a year ago xD. These guys are great about answering questions, even the same nooby ones over and over!

You guys effin rock. 1 last question, can use the cartos I already have when they are empty and just refill juice? I have heard that the atty was glued to the cart. Would just be easier for a noob to buy empty ones and some juice? Also whats the difference between the dipping and dripping? Would post elsewhere but I'm restricted due to new member status...thanx

you can refill the cartomizers you have. just boil them and let them dry for a day or two if you're going with a totally different flavor. some don't mix very well. don't try to take them apart, a cartomizer is a one piece unit. filling your own isn't nearly as intimidating as it sounds at first. if you buy juice, get a sampler pack. you don't want to get stuck with 10-30ml of a juice you don't like. once you find something you like then buy the larger bottles.

dipping only works if you have an exposed atomizer (is not applicable to cartomizers). you dip the atomizer into a small container of liquid and then vape. dripping is where you drip a few drops directly into the atomizer. that's where drip tips come into play. they're not necessary for dripping but make it much easier.

check youtube for videos. a lot of this makes more sense if you see someone explaining it as they do it.

also, if you haven't watched these yet check them out: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-videos-newbies-particular-broke-newbies.html

Somewhere in time.
Yeah I read the same - Safe Cig is RN4081 and someone was able to use RN4081 cartos on it. I do not think there are manual batteries available for the RN4081. So your battery likely has no button on it and it automatic.

I have manual 4081 batteries. They're hard to find-but they do exist.
