So today I got my m401 from MidwestVapor.com and as soon as I got it, I put the battery to charge for a good four hours. As soon as I did this, I put the pieces together, popped one of the carts that came with it, and puffed. I forgot to check for primer! I got a nice big taste of nasty stuff. Not a good start, but my fault. So I took off the atty, blew most of the primer out, put it back together.. Tried it-- mmm, no good. Still had that nasty taste.

Reluctant to burn off the primer, I took the atty out, washed it with hot water and let it dry. Put the thing back together, washed out the prefill cart and topped it off with some Vortex mint juice I bought along with the ecig. I puffed it a few times and.. Well.. There we go! No nasty crap, just some nice mint.

I've been using it for.. Mm.. Two hours? Not puffing heavly, taking my time. One thing I noticed is that it dries out my throat quiet a bit. I don't know if it's the PG in the juice.. If it is, I'll use VG from now on. Anyone got a good recoomendation on good VG juice? I've been eyeing ECOpure from InnoVapor.

All in all.. I'm digging it. I like it, though it's way different from analogs. Of course, now I have a lot of questions. It really dries out my throat.. Is that normal? Is it different with VG juice? Also, the mint isn't strong enough. I guess i'm wanting strongert mint. Can anyone point me in the right direction? And.. There's a teeny lingering flavor from the primer.. Does that go away eventually? Thanks in advance for your advice!!

Demorphius, I've been vaping for a month now, and I'm so delighted with it! I used to get a lot thirstier smoking analogs. It took me about a week to get totally comfortable with the change to vaping...batteries, cartridges, etc...but I was determined...and now it's become second nature to me, just like the smoking before.

I'm afraid that I'm too new to this to know what you're referring to as the primer.

Anyway, lots of luck!

JanH; I don't get thirsty per-se.. i just feel my throat completely dry out with the first drag. I'll ride it out, though. We'll see how it goes. Haven't had an analog yet, I get a good enough dose on nic. I wasn't a heavy smoker before, so the switch hasn't been hard at all.

Ooh, primer is a little liquid that the atty comes dowsed in when it's new. I heard that not all come with that stuff, but most do. This one tasted terrible at first, but after washing and drying it, it's fine. And thanks! I want this to work badly.

I'll join the others on here in agreeing that it's real different from analogs. Everything about it is different and it takes some getting used to. At first, the PG leaves a wierd sweet taste and maybe some irritation - drink some water to make it go away. You won't notice it in a week or two. I had the New Toy Syndrome, playing around with it all the time, and had a serious buzz the first couple of days. I had to intentionally pace myself for a few days until the novelty wore off.

Thanks guys!

coffee addict; Aah, I feel relieved. I'll definitely check out that site out. :p

sytesteppa; Mm, alright. I'll give PG a good chance. Only thing is that the only flavor I'm looking for at the moment, to help me get off analogs, is menthol since I smoke menthol newports. But yes, I'll give these a chance. :3

Three days in my throat and sinuses were dying. 5 days in they were getting better. 7 days only a slight irritation. and at about a week and a half i was sweet as sugar. If you are still feeling really irritated by around the week and a half mark definitely look into some VG

Jim; Hahaha, I read that while I was on my way to work and I spent the day just drinking water while and after puffing. The mint juice I got with the PV feels great with cold water following it. Haha! I guess that vaping not only got me out of cancer avenue, but also got me drinking loads of water! Two good things I'm getting for dropping one nasty habbit.

JanH; You're welcome!

Sydesteppa; Today they throat wasn't as bad as it was yesterday. I'm taking a good liking to this. And yes.. That new toy syndrome is killing me. I'm almost looking for an excuse to go vape. I'm trying to slow down, I don't want to seem like a child at work. Haha..
