Okay, I got it, two days after ordering it from vape Royalty, which is in California, and I'm in Florida, so I was pretty surprised at the fast shipping. As was pointed out to me in another thread there is a bit of a learning curve to getting it to fire, but I figured that out okay, and it fires well and hits good and hard.

The down side is that I can't sit it down on my desk without having to deal with that locking ring!!!! ARRGGGHHHHH!!!!!

I installed the magnets that came with it, and they are just plain too weak. When I set it down standing up with an RSST topper it DOES fire, and that's a real bummer for me. I'm not happy at all. This is the main reason I do not like bottom button mechs and I'm really bummed out about this.

The magnets are just too weak, and it will even fire without a topper on it, and the button gets pressed all the way in even without a battery in it or a topper on it!

So it's just not usable for me the way I vape, unless I can get better magnets than they shipped me with this mech. I put the springs back in and that eliminates the issue, but I wanted a magnetic switch, and paid for it.

Get better magnets, I use a Kayfun in nano mode without the steel rings, can't think if the name of the full tube right now. I have no problem standing it up unlocked. IIRC, I didn't have issues while in full size mode either but I'm sure it was close.
There are different strengths of magnets, and you can also add one for a total of 3. I only use two decent ones on mine.

Thank you, might you know where I can get better magnets? The springs that came in it are working for now, the button is a bit notchy, even after I used a lubricant, but I can work that out. I have to say, it fires a lot stronger than my old Sigelei 24 does, and I'm pretty happy about that. That the magnets they sent with it are so much weaker than the springs I feel is a bit sub-par. On the whole it's a great looking mech, it just needs a little work.

One thing you can do with the magnets is put a oring under the bottom one. This will bring them closer together increasing the strength. I used a spare chimney o-ring from a kayfun clone. Cured my fire when standing problem right up with my cheap fasttech magnets.

Okay, thanks! I'll give that a try :)

I actually got mine from a good rated seller on eBay. If that's not your thing there are a few sites that sell them also, I don't remember off hand exactly who, but Google should be able to give you some descent results.
Also I cannot remember what strength I have, but there are threats on here about magnet strength.

We'll, he is right.

Like another poster said, shim the bottom magnet. It still might not be enough though. You would have been better off with something like the Atomo that has a recessed button.

I don't want a recessed button. I want this mech to work the way I want it to. That's going to take stronger magnets.

I understand, but keep in mind that you want it to work in a way that wasn't intended. I own a few Nemesis mods and the button is always an issue.

Well other than the magnet problem the button is a bit notchy and sticks. I put some rifle grease I have for my Garands in there, but it's not helping much. I'll try Noalox next.

Nemesis is known for "crunchy" buttons even with super Magnets, nolax, etc..
* you can try fatdaddyvapes which I use (kayfun on it with full steel tubes)
* talk to supermagnetman.com...I'm pretty sure with the popularity magnetic switches upgrades, the vendor might know what you need

Fully unlock, been 5 minutes, no fire

OK, with the magnets...they're designed so the user can adjust the resistance of the throw. Sometimes people don't want too much resistance and want a light throw. Then you use ONE set of magnets. If you want more resistance or your mod to stand up without lock ring, use TWO sets of magnets. Or, in the alternative, you can buy these magnets (which I have on all of my authentic Nemesis): Nemesis Mod Switch Magnet Upgrade Set of 2 Strong Magnets 17mm x 2mm Nemesis | eBay

These magnets are twice the thickness of the stock magnets sold by Vaperev (which are 1mm thick, these are 2mm thick and act like two magnets stuck together). Will easily stand up with an 18650, full Kayfun, a kick on it and the lock ring not engaged. The fasttech magnets are garbage. They're the wrong size. If you want really good magnets pony up $5 and get them here.

And just to be clear, the original post is about a clone nemesis as vaperoyalty does not sell authentic atmomixani. It just bugs me when people complaint about something on a clone product, and everyone thinks that the same fault applies to the genuine article. I have 4 authentic nemesis(es) on me right now (selling 2 if anyone is interested...hint, hint), and I do not, and have never had the "crunchiness" issue with the button that I hear people complain about. It's not a design flaw inherent in the Nemesis, it's that your Chinese clone manufacturer does not have the same tight tolerances that atmomixani has.

Well I don't care to get into the real Nemesis v. the clone debate, I just wanted a mech without the button issues my Sigelei 24 has and went with what I'd heard is a very popular clone being that I'm particularly poor and cannot afford the genuine article. It's a very nice looking mech to my eye, in brass on steel, and with the springs in it, instead of the magnets provided by Vape Royalty, it does sit on my desk with my RSST on it without firing. That's good enough for now, but I want decent magnets in that switch, so thank you for the information.

I will say that this mech does indeed fire much better and more consistently than my Sigelei 24, and without the button issues that plagued that mod, and is going to be my new full time vape mech. I do indeed know what the purpose of a locking ring is, and I don't want to have to use it every vape as I sit at my desk during the day every vape I take, and I well know I'm not alone in this. What I wanted this mech to do is the same thing many others wanted in their bottom button mechs.

I did have a Magneto, but sitting it down on it's very unstable bottom button was not at all practical and it would readily fall over. I traded it off for my RSST, which was a win/win for both of us. The Magneto's button was smaller in diameter than the tube and the mech would rock around on it. That didn't work for me.

I emailed Vape Royalty stating my issue with the provided magnets being far too weak. I wonder what they will say about that...
