Got my Provari mini

So there were a few bumps in the shipping process, even though it got here early it's missing the extender cap and extra 18490 batteries I ordered. I sent an email to Provape and I have no doubt that will be rectified soon.

I charged up some 18350 batteries in the elegant Pila charger and slid one of the 3ohm cartos into my new Phiniac tank. Well, maybe slid is a bad word. What I mean is pushed until my thumbs bled and destroyed the o-rings just trying to get it in. Not sure how I feel about that yet. Put the power to 5.2 and gave it my first vape.

WOW. This thing hits like a truck. Beautiful pull, lovely taste, amazing heat and hit. As a product, it's built like I like my geek gadgets: sturdy, sleek, and faithful. I have no complaints there. It's definitely a beast of beasts.

The only downside is that this thing is LOUD. Maybe it's the cart/tank, I don't know. But I'm really worried about trying to stealth vape with this. It's got about as much subtlety as a garbage truck with fingernail-tread tires driving over a chalkboard street.

We'll see how it performs. For now, I really dig it.

Looks like the loudness was the juice I was using. It was a really bright and sweet menthol by LiQUA. When I filled a tank with Halo True Pure it is no longer loud.

This thing is a beast.

With phiniac tanks the orings are quite tight, so I use a flush drip tip to push it through the rings without exposing them to the sharp edges of the carto.

Really good call, I'll do that on the next batch of o-rings after these start to fail.

With the tank, lube the orings first, and use a twisting motion when inserting the carto. Straight push on a dry oring = shear force. Twisting motion with a lubed ring provides low friction and the twist compresses the ring material instead of acting as a cutting, shear, edge.

I wonder if the carto I got from Provape was too big for the Phiniac. Is it okay if it sticks up a bit?

I use a small tank and my carto's stick up also....works for me....

That looks like a 50 mm carto on a tank designed for 35 mm. Did you get the standard, tallboy, or xl tank from Phiniac?

Standard. It's a lot smaller than I expected. I may have to get a tallboy. Of course I may change my tune when the Boge 3.0s come in.

If you have a drip tip like this, it helps greatly in inserting a carto into a tank without tearing up the o-rings.
