Got my Pyrex RSST + Mesh vs Cotton

Pyrex RSST came in the mail today so banged out my workout really quick and got to building.

The center post for the Pyrex is the silver plated brass one. I had been using it with my original RSST.


Dual micro for the Pyrex.


Cotton auto drip and SS mesh with a 4/3 wrap. Both right around .7 ohm.


Both caps have 5/64 air holes.


No clear advantage of the Pyrex aside from looks and slightly larger tank capacity.

So far the cotton is winning. The mesh has harsher TH and puts out less vapor. Cotton also has more and better flavor. Mesh get's the nod for convenience though.

I'm also using the AGA silicone insulators and plastic washers to press them down.

Yep - cotton wins in my experience. Surprised you find mesh more convenient.

Nice setup, BTW. Now you can vape all the orange, lemon, root beer, licorice gummy bear you want.

Pretty sure I can do that with the original RSST as it's a PP tank. But yeah, mesh lasts forever and you don't have to mess with it. With cotton I like to replace it every few days.

I might leave the original with a mesh wick for a 2nd flavor just for every now and then.

You can use mesh for a long time and dry burn it. Convenient.
