Absolutely, screwed mine onto an old cig-a-like 510 battery and chucked it up into my drill press and took some sandpaper (started course working down to fine) then steel wool and then some polish to it.


That looks pretty good on top of the copper vein...might have to try that. Thanks.

Thanks B2L! I assume you mean that I could remove the plating from the outside. I don't think I want my liquids touching that much brass.

Welcome to REOville - it's a happy place. :)

I wouldn't worry too much about brassing that RM2, the inside is still plated but you can always dip it for 10min in 2 parts white vinegar 1 part hydrogen peroxide to eliminate surface lead.
