Got my RY4 today and it tastes like chemicals

Okay so I got my RY4from a fairly wellknown supplier and decided to go with this supplier because of a lot of reccomendations and also for the fact that this company is 45 minutes from me. Well I vaped it and it tasted like chemical crap. Bleh. Made me nauseous. I couldn't taste any tobacco or caramel in it, just chemical. So am I missing something here? ***BTW*** I am NOT at all picky with tobacco juices. I don't care whether it tastes like a real cigarette or not. Infact I don't like the taste of real cigarettes, this juice tastes nothing like a real cigarette (just saying this so no one thinks that's the reason I don't like it) OR tobacco. So what's going on here? Bad batch?

EDIT: this is the FIRST juice that I don't like out of 13.

I never blame it on a bad batch because I think thats a cop out reply - it may be a flavor combo you just don't like. Not all the RY4 are the same - every company seems to mix it differently. Ive had a lot of RY4, and to be honsst I like most of them even though NONE of mine taste alike.
The DIYFS one (Caramel RY4) is my fave - because its just sweeter than all of them and I love the extra caramel lol
Cignot one: I think this is a basic Dekang VG mix its not BASIC or Ecopure range its just under 'other' I think. Its a little harsh (i got a 26mg nic one so thts probably why) but also really nice lol Ive mixed his with their Ecopure English toffee and gone to heaven.
strictlyejuice one: this is colorless, the others above are a golden/reddish color. It tastes nothing like the other 2, but I like it all the same. I can't tell you WHY I like it lol
Vapor station one: This is called VS4 - its nothing like the other 3 above, its got a very unique flavor all its own and I really enjoy it.

I have no idea if YOU would enjoy any of the ones I've listed, I can only tell you that *I* like them Some juices, Ive left a week or so, for no other reason than I have so many I just didnt get round to do more than tasting it - many times i find going back to it after some time has passed has improved the flavor. I can't explain why that is, but it just IS. I also never throw any juices away because of this; also a lot of tobacco will mix well with toffee flavors and you get a whole new vape.

RY4 made me nausiated and almost barf but that's just my taste palet.............remember everyone's is different. Seems like we have about the same taste buds for food but not ejuice.............kinda weird.

Dekang's RY4 tastes different to me every batch, i haven't had it taste as bad as you describe it, but sometimes just tastes not so sweet and more tobacco'y

RY4 is a love/hate ejuice but almost always scores high in the polls that have been taken here from time to time. And there are really two diffferent takes on RY4/ruyan#4 - the dekang version and the joye/janty version. The best description I've seen is smokey, caramel cream but it can taste like plastic, pine trees, musty basement or caramel/butterscotch/marshmellow and in some cases 'added raspberry, ginger, watermelon'. lol

My friend that at first called it 'moldy basement' now has it as his 2nd favorite vape. I was 'just ok' with it at first and then because the Janty version tends to be less sweet, it was my default vape when Everything was tasting too sweet. It's still in the lineup but no longer no. 1. And another thing that I think helps it's popularity is that it taste good (when you like it) in the 510, 801 and 901 and even in some cartos (not all). Very few flavors can span that many ecigs tasting good. The stronger flavors almost always taste better in the 510 and the lighter fruit/berry flavors are great in the 901 and 801. (exceptions to subjective taste taken into account here - this is a generality from reading a lot of posts) and I rarely miss an RY4 post. There is this 'mystery ingredient' it seems that is elusive. Whether it exists or is just a result of a combination of tastes is one for the scientists.

Interesting. I will agree with everyonewqho said I just might not like it. To be fair , I ordered a bottle of double flavor bubblegum from diyflavorshack and hated it at first I nearly puked it was so nasty but now it's one of my main vapes. Maybe it needs to sit and mature or maybe I just need to use it more and get used to it. Who knows but I'll give it a fair shot and some time

In 11 months I've had about 4 of those 'sleepers' but there are some I still really don't like Also, even though I said that RY4 seems good in almost any device if you like it, don't rule out any flavor on just one atomizer type. My black currant doesn't taste that good on a 510 but it's my favorite 801 vape, yet my fav Habana Reserve doesn't hardly register on a 801. Heat helps the H.R. greatly and kills the B.Currant.

I haven't tried RY4 yet but it seems like with would perfect for me. Has anyone tried Viking Vapors RY4? I'm waiting on an order of it from them and I'm curious of what others think. I've heard so many varying opinions of RY4, I honestly don't know what to expect.

The ry4 that i have ...the taste reminds me of of hay with a little sugar on it ..I use to bail hay when i was younger never forget the smell and taste getting a few straws of hay in my mouth on a hot day...lol.....That might change after i vape it for a while
