As the "guy who gets it" in my group of vapers I was recently gifted some SS 316L in 24 gauge. My coworkers kinda expect me to try anything new and teach them a dumbed down need to know version, and show them if it's worth learning. As such I'm always being given something "new" and nifty. Clone attys, wires, and wicking material. I've never complained and get to have fun learning how well things work.

Now, I'm no scrub. I know what each of my batteries can handle. I have good gear: Sony VTCR4's and 5's Samsung 25r's and AW 2200mAh's (for my Reo's) and generally build no lower than 0.3 Ohms. I have standard mechs, Reo Grands, and a Sigelei 150. I have Plume Veils, Mutation X v 1, 3, and 4, Mephisto (both regular and bottom feed), and Odin BF. As far as coils go, I can do Claptons and have played around with plenty of dual coils.

I'm just not sure what to do with this wire. I built a 0.5 Ohm Dual Coil using my 2mm screwdriver and like 18 wraps each coil. So much metal with so little resistance. Anything you guys think I should try ? Cheers.

Running out of physical room are ya', Riff? ;)

Here's a 3mm mandrel (1/8" is OK too), 0.25Ω, dual parallel build for you. You'll want to toss it on the Sig 150 and run at around 100 watts or more, if you want to get any warmth out of it... but the surface area is good, at over 200 mm².

I'll give that coil a try. It looks easy and doable.

Has anyone ever used 316 or 317 as the core in a Clapton? This seems like something that would work...
I've contemplated using it in a Clapton recently. I have 24ga and 26ga 316L. The only problem I foresee is getting the resistance high enough to fire on my sigelei150. I have been primarily using Nichrome80 cores in my fused Claptons and they are coming in around 0.1-0.2ohms dual coil. IF I used the 316L, it would have to be a single core, and would have to have probably upwards of 8-9 wraps.
