For the longest time I had always dodged the idea of a provari up until this week.

I was outside a restaurant a few days ago and I was vaping one of my silver egos with a CE3. As I was chatting with one of my friends, some older guy tapped me on the shoulder and said "stop smoking {BAD THING} kid" as he continued walking. This didn't anger me, but I did feel very disheartened.

I should also add, a similar situation occurred a few months prior to this.

I'm not sure if I should go run off and buy a Joye roll or buy something so outlandishly big as a Provari. But either way, I'm not sure if this whole ego/ ce-3 clearomizer is working for me.

Don't change what your doing one bit! People will just have to think whatever they have to until vaping becomes more common and people get used to seeing it. Had you had a chance to talk to that man and tell him it was an e cig and explain how it worked he may have still been a jerk or he may have congratulated you. We are the only ones who can educate others. If not us who will?

If someone did that to me, I would offer them my cell phone to call the police on me, and then have him charged with filing a false police report, which is a felony in most jurisdictions...

I dont think it is filing a false police report if he did actually think he was smoking {BAD THING}. I dont think the older guy really was maliciously making a false claim. And if the cops did come, they would do their thing and waste a whole lot of your time. The OP was better off just shrugging off the ignorance.

Isn't working for you? Is it keeping you off stinkies? Does it fit your budget? There have always been, will always be, ignorant and arrogant people. I have had a similar experience - was only slightly disheartened that I had no opportunity to explain, but I sure never considered giving up my eGo/T2! And besides, for every experience like that I've had ten chances to turn someone on to vaping. Just today in fact.

Use whatever you're comfortable with. I've been switching off between a Tesla and an iTaste MVP for the past few days... neither one is a "stealth" device, but I'm in the Florida Keys, where the attitude is mostly "live and let live". I was vaping at a restaurant earlier today, out on the deck... there were no ashtrays or anything about, and only a few tables around... I pulled out my MVP after dinner and not one person in the entire restaurant batted an eye. Don't sit there and look guilty, just vape courteously and don't blow huge smoke clouds around, and be respectful if someone does approach with a question... If someone thinks you're doing something illegal, try to educate them if you can.

Is that even possible to do with a PV? Are there devices that look similar? I ask because I got into a discussion with my Sister-in law yesterday about this very topic. She said she had "seen" someone using a similar device and was told that was what they were doing. I said I don't see how a similar device could be used in such a way, considering it takes actual fire to burn leaves.

Living in CO I can tell you yes. PV's are all the rage now I'm just waiting for someone to see me driving and call the cops.

The devices used for that^ use a waxy substance. They look just like our ego battery to so its a stones throw from it. I use a svd and my gus in public and once sitting in class, a class mate asked me was it that type of device and another time when I was in the passenger seat of a car with my enormous svd in double 350, some women in another car asked the same question. So PVs are becoming more common in both worlds.

Most do but I know people who put a few drops in the normal ego style tanks.

That's why you should use cigalikes in public my friend.

They are the future after all:)

Dang shoot! Don't remind me!

It's just the fact that some people don't like what they don't know. I blow vapor in my hand and tell people "Smell my fingers!" With a Bevis and Butthead Heh Heh!
